Jo’s Story. 

I was really looking forward to travelling to Europe, seeing the places my ancestors had called home and getting to know relatives that I’d never met before. We were going to spend most of our time with Ireland, but had also planned to visit Singapore, London and the Isle of Man before finishing up with a river cruise in Germany.

But then borders closed and everything changed. House of Travel were absolutely amazing – they made us feel like we were the only customer they had to look after, even though in reality, they had hundreds of people who were in the same situation as us.

Since then, we have managed to rebook everything, so my dream of connecting with my Irish roots is once again very much a happening thing. My experience really showed the value House of Travel brings to Kiwi travellers wanting to get away overseas in this day and age. It’s very reassuring to know that when you’re dealing with the unexpected (as can easily happen when you’re travelling), you’ve got someone looking after you, day in and day out.
