Now that I’m retired, I have plenty of travel I want to do. My backpacking days are behind me, and I want to travel in comfort. One of my favourite places in the world is Siena in Italy – I have a huge painting of the Palio di Siena in my living room.
Wherever I go, I always use my House of Travel consultant to make the arrangements because she understands what we need – the sorts of places we like to go and what we would find interesting. I have a tremendous amount of confidence in her; she’s a really good listener and always adds value to what we think we want to do. She’s incredibly experienced and always has something special to add to our holidays.
I also like the security of knowing that House of Travel is looking after us. We have an emergency phone number, but we've never had to use it – I guess that’s because she’s always got things right in terms of visas and train trips that are all coordinated. My husband and I can just get on and enjoy ourselves.
