Your itinerary
Arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland and drive to Stirling. Visit Stirling Castle, its historic jail or take in a weaving workshop with Radical Weavers.
Overnight: Stirling
Leave Stirling and head to the west coast via Loch Lomond. Travel along Loch Fyne, pass Inveraray Castle, or journey through Rannoch Moor and Glencoe. Overnight: Oban / Fort William
Drive north and take the ferry from Mallaig to the Isle of Skye, or cross via the bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh stopping at Eilean Donan Castle. Visit Skye Skins for a tour of their tannery to experience the traditional making of sheepskin products.
Overnight: Isle of Skye
Visit Eilean Donan Castle, then travel to Inverness via Loch Ness. Stop at Urquhart Castle and take a cruise on Loch Ness. Overnight: Inverness
Drive east to visit Cawdor Castle, or south via Aviemore through
Cairngorms National Park. For a chance to meet some highland cows, embark on a safari at Rothiemurchus. Stop at a highland distillery in Pitlochry before heading to Perth. Overnight: Perth
Visit St Andrews, the home of golf. Continue along the coast through Elie and Pittenweem. Cross the Queensferry Crossing. You may wish to attend a traditional Scottish Evening. Overnight: Edinburgh
Explore Edinburgh's attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, The
Royal Mile, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Overnight: Edinburgh
Depart Edinburgh to continue your travels or extend your stay in Edinburgh. Return your car rental.
