Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

USA 2012/13

What a trip!  3 weeks in the U.S, where I did the rides in Disneyland, checked out the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, drove a convertible up the Pacific Coast Highway, rode the cable cars in San Francisco and even did ice skating in Union Square under a giant Christmas tree.  New Years Eve in Las Vegas (not for the faint hearted!),Grand Canyon by helicopter, limo ride down the Las Vegas strip followed by a show and dinner in the Eiffel Tower overlooking the Bellagio fountains are just some of the highlights.  My first trip to the States and it knocked my socks right off!  Shopping was pretty good too!  I'll be back for sure!

Alaska & Santa Monica Sept 2017

It's a tough job!  A week spent cruising on Holland America Line MS Eurodam from Seattle.  My favoutite stops were Juneau (where I spotted a Brown bear) and of course Glacier Bay, where we saw both Marjorie and Johns Hopkins Glaciers in all their glory!.  What better way to experience this wilderness than by cruise.  The Eurodam is a beautiful ship with a relaxed elegance.  Wonderful food, wine and entertainment on board - too bad it had to end!  Time spent also in Seattle pre-cruise and Santa Monica for some sun and beach ensured a great way to top off this incredible trip!!

India 2016 - The Great Rickshaw Roadtrip

In July 2016, together with my close friend and fellow Travel Consultant - Ron, we traveled across India by Auto Rickshaw (aka Tuk Tuk).  From Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, the incomparable monument to love - to Ahmedabad, the birthplace of Gandhi - a distanace of 2400kms. It was truly the journey of a lifetime, and had a profound effect on me as we got up close and personal with all aspects of India.

Our hope is to inspire like minded adventurers of all ages and backgrounds into seeing India as a place where anything is possible.

Europe 2016

In October 2016 I travelled through Switzerland with Globus.  This was a fantastic way to see the best the country had to offer.  There was a good balance of structure and free time, which  allowed us time to explore on our own for a bit, where we hunted out a local Fondue restaurant in Geneva which resulted in us having a Cheese induced coma!  2 things the Swiss do really well; Cheese & Chocolate - don't go there wanting to lose weight!
We continued on with Avalon Waterways with a cruise up the Romantic Rhine.  The scenery was just stunning as we passed by numerous Castles, and townships along the way.  The food and wine was fabulous, and it was great being able to just walk from the ship into the town centres, many with cobbled streets and awe inspiring Cathedrals like in Cologne.  Definitely recommend it as a slow and luxurious way to see Europe.
