Cruise Itinerary
Day 1 - Tivua Private Island
Arrive at the Captain Cook Cruises Fiji check-in counter in Port Denarau this morning to check in for your cruise. Board Caledonian Sky and set sail over a light lunch as we cruise to Tivua Island. Spend the afternoon exploring the coral gardens, coral planting and clam rearing cages or a scenic walk through the island before enjoying a South Pacific sunset back onboard.
Day 2 - Makogai
A traditional Fijian ritual greets you as you arrive on Makogai Island. After that, take an hour-long walking tour of the clam research facility and leper colony. This isolated village's residents greet us at church.
Day 3 - Qilaqila
Discover the pristine waters, limestone caverns, and mushroom-shaped islands of Qilaqila, located at the northwest extremity of Vanuabalavu. The Bay of Islands, as it is often called, is well-known for its breathtaking landscape and immaculate reefs.
Day 4 - Fulaga Island
We reach Fulaga Island early in the morning. Both are craters of extinct volcanoes, renowned for their stunning corals and crystalline lagoons. We get to one of the Yagasa Islands this afternoon for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and coral gazing.
Day 5 - Vuaqava
Discover the desolate Vuaqava and its center lake, which is home to an incredible array of birds, turtles, and snakes. There will be an island stroll to examine these artifacts because this is a sacred island in Fijian culture. Please note that the return trek is about three hours long and rather strenuous, so you will need excellent walking shoes and a moderate degree of fitness. For anyone who would rather unwind, this beach is also really lovely.
Day 6 - Totoya Island
Horse-shoe shaped Totoya Island is our destination today. We will visit a local school and the children will surprise you with their entertainment and show you their work. We will also have the opportunity to explore their reefs.
Day 7 - Kadavu
We arrive in Kadavu and head to the Village of Nalotu for a welcome Sevusevu, then a tour of the village where you can witness the making of traditional fishing traps and pottery. The women of Nalotu village still make clay pottery in the time-honoured tradition that is rarely seen in Fiji anymore.
Day 8 - Disembark Lautoka
Enjoy breakfast onboard as we return to Lautoka for a 9:00am disembarkation. Our crew bid you farewell in song including their traditional Fijian ‘Isa Lei’ as they say ‘Soto Tale’ or ‘see you again’. Transfers will be available to the Airport, Port Denarau hotels and the Port Denarau Marina.
