Day 1: Chiang Mai - Mae Kampong Village
Your journey starts at approximately 07:00 hrs., as you're whisked away from your Chiang Mai City hotel towards the enchanting Mae Kampong Village. En route, immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of a vibrant local market, witness the grandeur of a hot spring, and marvel at the beauty of the stone garden. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm village welcome from Poh Luong, the village chief, gaining valuable insights into Mae Kampong's unique way of life followed by a local-style lunch at the village. Then, it’s the time to enjoy an afternoon walk, discovering the beauty of forest flowers, including the regal Eungdin (The Queen of Mae Kampong flower) and the Sakura bloom (December to February). Delight in an informal Thai herbal talk, experiencing an herbal sauna, and visit a village income-generating project. Learn the art of crafting bamboo hats and enjoy a hands-on session creating a local Thai dessert. Unwind with a traditional Thai massage and indulge in an early dinner. At 19:00 hrs, engage in insightful conversations with locals on topics such as Thai society, NGOs, and volunteerism, or discover the art of Mieng making—a traditional chewing tea, or whatever is your interest. Day 2: Mae Kampong Village - Chiang Mai
Rise early for a unique opportunity, participate in a serene morning ritual, to make offerings to monks before indulging in a delightful breakfast. Set off for Doi Mon Lan, enjoying a soft adventure through the mountain forest and reveling in breathtaking vistas of the surrounding cities (Chiangmai, Lamphun, and Lampang). Lunch is served at the, and in the afternoon, return to Mae Kampong to bid farewell to this charming village. Make a visit to Muang-On Cave, a historical cave with sacred objects, including a colossal dinosaur skeleton. Uncover fascinating tales of a long-deceased monk or simply relish the intrigue of this unique escape. As the day concludes, with an approximate arrival at your city hotel by 17:00 hrs.
