Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Kota Kinabalu
On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our Tour executive who will assist you with the transfer & check-in at the hotel. Overnight will be at Kota Kinabalu.
Day 2: Kota Kinabalu – Sepilok
After breakfast, fly to Sandakan. Meet and transfer to resort in Sepilok. Set in 25 acres of rainforest, a protected area rich in wildlife. Afternoon at leisure to relax, swim in the pool or go for a walk. Stay two nights in Sepilok.(B,D)
Day 3: Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary & Rainforest
This morning is at your leisure. After lunch proceed to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary for feeding session and Rainforest Discovery Centre, located within the Kabili Sepilok Forest Reserve. Before dinner head to the flying squirrel platform to see if the red giant flying squirrels emerge from their nests.(B,L,D)
Day 4: Sepilok – Abai
Visit the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary where captive orangutans are
reintroduced into the wild. Later depart for Sandakan in a boat and arrive at Abai and check-in at the hotel. Enjoy a guided night walk around the Lodge’s nature boardwalk Overnight at the Jungle Lodge (non-air conditioned). (B,L,D)
Day 5: Abai – Sukau
In the early morning take boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at the nearby Pitas Lake. After breakfast, cruise up-river to Sukau, searching for wildlife along the way. Check-in and have lunch. Later cruise up the Kinabatangan River to the Menanggul River in search of proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Stay two nights in Sukau. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Sukau
At 0630 hours take a boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at
the nearby Ox Bow Lake. Rest of the day will be at lesiure to enjoy
own activities.(B,L,D)
Day 7: Sukau - Kota Kinabalu
Today return to Sandakan and have lunch. Later, board your flight for
Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for three nights stay in
Kota Kinabalu.(B,L)
Day 8: Poring Hot Spring & Kinabalu NP
Depart for the 3-hour drive to Poring Hot Spring for a chance to observe
wildlife and the trees from 100 feet above the forest floor. Later proceed
to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kinabalu Park. Explore the mountain gardens with your guide before returning to the hotel.(B,L)
Day 9: Kota Kinabalu
Day at leisure to relax or explore on your own. (B)
Day 10: Kota Kinabalu Departure
Have breakfast at your hotel. After check-out, transfer to the airport for
your flight to onward destination. (B)
