Itinerary
On arrival into Tashkent, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Enjoy a two-night stay in Tashkent.
After breakfast, explore Tashkent’s highlights, including the Museum of Applied Art, Independence Square, Alisher Navoi Theatre Square, and the Romanov Palace, along with several renowned madrasahs and mausoleums. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the bustling Chorsu Bazaar.

Today, travel to Samarkand, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities and a true gem of Central Asia. This afternoon, visit the iconic Registan Square and its magnificent 17th-century madrassahs.

This morning, see Gur Emir, the mausoleum of Tamerlane, the grandest Bibi-Khanum mosque, the Siab Bazaar and Shahi Zinda Necropolis. In the afternoon, we visit Ulugbek’s observatory, constructed in 1428-1429 to see the ancient settlement of Afrosiab.

Travel to Bukhara, en-route stop at Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of the Great Tamerlane and visit remnants of Ak-Sarai Palace, Dorus Tilavat Cemetery and KokGumbas mosque.

Today, you’ll explore the gem of medieval Islam and visit Lab-i-khauz, famous Madrassahs, Ark of Bukhara, Mosques Balakhauz Mosque and Chashma Ayub. Conclude your day with a visit to handicraft workshops featuring block printing, metal chasing, suzani embroidery etc.

Today, continue exploring Bukhara with visits to Sitora-i-Mokhi Khosa and the Bahauddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum, dedicated to the renowned 14th-century Sufi spiritual leader. The afternoon is at leisure for personal exploration or relaxation.

Today, journey to Khiva across the vast Kyzyl Kum Desert, with several scenic stops along the way to admire the unique desert landscape and its flora and fauna.

Visit the Kalta Minor Minaret, Kurkna Ark Fortress, Madrassahs and Mausoleums in the Citadel which remains largely untouched, preserving the historical charm despite modern development. In the afternoon, visit the Friday Mosque and the 19th century Tash Hauli Palace including the harem.

Today features a full day of travel from Uzbekistan into Turkmenistan, crossing the border at Shavat. Continue overland to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kunya-Urgench, once the magnificent capital of the medieval Khorezmshah Empire. Explore its impressive highlights, including ancient mausoleums, the towering Kutlug Timur Minaret, and the historic site of al-Mamun’s Academy of Sciences.

After breakfast, visit the striking water and clay craters before continuing to Ashgabat. On arrival, explore the city’s highlights, including the Neutrality Arch, Independence Park, the Earthquake Memorial Complex, Ertogrul Gazi Mosque, the Presidential Palace, and the National Museum of History (closed Tuesdays).

Today we have an early airport transfer for our flight to Mary. On arrival, we go to the ancient and glorious city of Merv; a UNESCO World Heritage Site and later we will visit the local History Museum.

This morning, we will fly back to Ashgabat and visit the monument and park of Independence and the impressive Ertoghrul Ghazi Mosque. In the afternoon, drive north to Darvaza and its captivating Flaming Crater. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely walk around the crater at sunset, followed by a delicious nomadic campsite dinner. Return to Ashgabat later in the evening.

Make the most of your final day in Ashgabat with a visit to the ancient Old Nisa Fortress, once the residence of the Parthian Empire. After lunch, explore the vibrant Russian Bazaar, followed by a visit to the National Carpet Museum, home to an impressive collection of handwoven Turkmen carpets and decorative artefacts.
