WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT THE MALDVIES

If you’re planning a honeymoon, have a significant anniversary to celebrate, or simply just want to impress your other half, the exquisitely stunning islands of the Maldives is the place to go! These resort islands in the Indian Ocean are often frequented by the ‘rich and famous’ so you too can live like a VIP and escape to complete and utter secluded indulgence with an overwater bungalow stay.

MY HOT TIPS

Don’t think about the price!  The Maldives is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so a generous dash of indulgence is part of the Maldives experience, so make the most of it!

Take a break away from having meals at your resort restaurant and spoil yourselves with a private dining experience. There are lots of options - an isolated sandbar, beachside under a gazebo, in your villa, on a candle lit jetty or even a sunrise champagne breakfast.

The snorkelling is incredible - consider taking a decent underwater camera to capture its beauty.

MY MALDIVES HIGHLIGHTS

The iconic Soneva Fushi Resort takes your fine dining to exhilarating new heights with its Flying Sauces restaurant: the world’s first fine dining zipline experience. Arriving to dinner by zipline is a truly incredible experience!  Gliding high above the jungle you ‘land’ on the dining tower that provides the most exceptional views out across the ocean. There is a maximum of 12 guests for dinner, and with two tables of 6 you mix with other guests.  The menu is delicious, expertly paired with a selection of wines from the resort’s extensive cellars. Simply magical!

There is nothing quite like watching an outdoor movie, but one in paradise is even better! Enjoy a barefoot luxury experience, relax on a beanbag, feet in the sand and enjoy a movie under the collection of stunning stars.

BEST TIME TO GO

The dry season in the Maldives runs from November to April, and although heavy rainfall is common throughout the rest of the year, the temperature remains suitably balmy year-round.
