The Hub
PORT VILA AIRPORT. Handling on a handful of international flights daily, the airport in Port Vila is small. Unfortunately there has been little invested in the airport recently, so the terminal is looking dated and in bad need of a renovation. That being said, it’s usually quick enough to get through immigration so you shouldn’t need to be hanging around too long. The airport does not have air conditioning, and there's no shops open for late evening/early morning flights. Air New Zealand, Qantas and Virgin Australia have all recently suspended flights due to the poor condition of the runway, but repairs are expected to be completed soon.
