The Promoter
1. The promoter is House of Travel Limited ("Promoter"), trading as House of Travel.
The Prize Issuer
2. The prize issuers are House of Travel ("Prize Issuer").
Competition entry and eligibility
3. Eligibility information and the prize offered form part of these Conditions of Entry. An individual that renders themself an Eligible Entrant is deemed to have accepted these Conditions of Entry.
4. Entry is open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older.
5. Only those people who are eligible for travel and meet Government and Airline travel requirements, have the appropriate valid passports and can obtain the appropriate visas and documentation to travel into Australia, can enter the draw. In the event the prize winner cannot travel for any reason (including the inability to travel due to COVID-19), the prize will be forfeited.
6. Employees (and their immediate families) of House of Travel, its subsidiaries, related entities or agencies associated with the promotion are not eligible to participate.
7. To enter, attendees make a $100 deposit towards a future holiday at the House of Travel Auckland Travel Bazaar, held 19 September 2026, and provide their name, email address and consent to receive marketing communications.
Duration of Promotional Period
8. The promotion commences 10am NZST 19 September 2026 and closes at 3pm NZST on 19 September 2026 (“Promotion Period”). The Prize Winner will be drawn from the pool of Eligible Entrants after the end of the Promotion Period.
Selection of “Prize Winner”
9. The Prize Winner must be able to provide a current, valid New Zealand Passport or New Zealand Driver’s License / other Valid ID to accept the prize.
10. The Prize Winners will be determined by a random [computer generated] prize draw on Wednesday 23 September 2026. The draw will take place at The Promoters Head Office, Level 2, 45 Queen Street, Auckland Central. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in case an ineligible entrant is drawn. The Prize Winners need not be present at the draw.
11. If the winners do not make contact with House of Travel within seven (7) days of being notified, they will forfeit the right to the prize. The prize will then be awarded to the next drawn winner - and another winner will be announced and contacted.
12. The Prize Winner will be contacted by the Promoter via email the day after the draw or as soon as possible thereafter.
13. The decisions of the promoter on all matters relating to this competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. House of Travel reserves the right to verify the validity of an entry or a winner’s right to redeem the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. House of Travel reserves the right to amend the prize(s) offered along with these terms and conditions and in its absolute discretion cancel the competition at any time and without prior notice. Prize must be booked instore with one of the 13 Auckland House of Travel stores with travel must be completed by 31 August 2027 (closeouts apply).
14. The prize is a choice of either:
5 night holiday for 2 adults to the Gold Coast including flights from Auckland to the Gold Coast on Qantas, 5 nights accommodation at The Breakers Absolute Beachfront in a One Bedroom Superior Apartment.

· $3,000 (three thousand dollar) House of Travel Gift Card
15. Total Prize Value: $3,000
16. The prize includes GST and taxes included in the airline tickets.
17. The Prize Winner(s) (by accepting the Prize) agrees that they will abide by the applicable terms and conditions for the use of the prize as notified by the Promoter and/or the prize issuer. The prize and use of the prize are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the Promoter, and Prize Issuer.
The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold or exchanged for cash.
18. Note travel is subject to availability at the time of booking. Travel must be completed by 31 August. Valid travel dates are 26 Oct – 05 Nov 26, 16 Nov – 23 Nov 26, 02 Dec 26 – 13 Dec 26, 01 Feb 27 – 21 Mar 27, 28 April 27 – 12 May 2027, 18 May 27 – 10 June 27, 19 July 27 – 18 Aug 27, 24 Aug – 31 Aug 27
19. Closeout dates will apply and are applicable during peak holiday periods, i.e. Easter/School & Major Holidays. The Prize Issuer will work with the Prize Winner(s) to agree on a travel dates, however final travel dates are at the discretion of House of Travel.
20. All other associated costs including but not limited to upgrades, spending money, Visa costs, Travel Insurance, excess baggage are the responsibility of the winner(s). Purchasing appropriate Travel insurance is recommended.
21. The prize winner may require a valid credit card at time of travel for use upon arrival at accommodation. This is the responsibility of the prize winner, in addition to any payable deposits or holds required by the accommodation, optional upgrades and any associated charges.
22. If the Prize winner or companion has a criminal record and is denied entry into Australia; or encounters any visa issues on route; House of Travel are not responsible or liable in any way for inability to enter the country. The Prize winner and their guest are responsible for obtaining all required passports, travel documents, visas and for complying with all country entry/transit requirements prior to departure. Applicable costs associated with these are the responsibility of the Prize winner and their guest.
23. 16. Entering the competition constitutes a winner’s consent for House of Travel to use his or her name and city/town of residence for publicity purposes without compensation. This includes House of Travel’s websites, direct and social media channels and PR.
Additional terms
24. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the promotion, the promotion may be abandoned or postponed at the unfettered discretion of the Promoter.
25. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking part in, the winning of, or use of the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
26. Any personal information collected as part of this competition will be held by House of Travel in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access, update, and correct such information.
27. Privacy Collection Notification: House of Travel Holdings Limited and its related companies (“us”, “our”, “we”) are committed to respecting your privacy. In addition to any other purposes we have made known to you, we will collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information to enable us to conduct this competition. Any personal information you provide to us will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at houseoftravel.co.nz/hot-info/privacy-policy.
28. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for: (a) inaccurate or incorrect transcription of entry information; (b) entries not received for any reason, including being lost, misdirected, late, illegible, or incomplete; (c) any technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any computer system, network, server, or software; (d) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the promotion; or (e) any electronic or human error in the administration of the promotion.
29. The above conditions do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law, including the Fair Trading Act 1986.
30. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Conditions of Entry, or to cancel, alter, or amend the promotion at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control, without awarding any compensation. These Conditions of Entry are subject to the laws of New Zealand.
