Shanghai
Shanghai is an exhilarating and modern metropolis that epitomizes the philosophy of East meets West. The classical Art Deco buildings on the Bund contrast with the modern skyscrapers of Pudong towering above the city on the opposite banks of the Huangpu River. From the Bund explore the ever popular Nanjing Road, a bustling pedestrian shopping street. Don’t miss the Yu Gardens, an ancient old gem and a fine example of Ming Court Gardens or the Jade Buddha Temple, one of Shanghai’s few active Buddhist monasteries.
Shanghai City Tour
Tour the cities highlights with a visit to the Yu Gardens, a classic creation of the Ming Dynasty, and the old streets of Shanghai, originated in the Qing Dynasty. Continue on to the Bund, followed by a visit to the former French Concession District. The last stop will be Xin Tian Di, a great area for shopping, entertainment and leisure.
Best of Shanghai - Visit the Yu Gardens a famous classical garden completed in 1577, then on to the adjoining old town with its ancient winding streets, traditional shop houses and remnants of the ancient city walls. Head to the Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund followed by Xin Tian Di, a stylish nightlife district with many boutiques, pubs and restaurants.
Suzhou & Zhouzhuang Excursion - Experience these two picturesque towns, each unique in the splendours they reveal. Visit the Master of Nets Garden, Silk Embroidery Research Institute, Grand Canal and Silk Factory. After lunch travel to Zhouzhuang, known for its beautiful environment and simple architecture, well preserved for over 900 years.
Zhujiajiao Water Village - Visit this historical township on the outskirts of Shanghai. Small rivers criss-cross the town with 36 old stone bridges crossing them. Thousands of houses first built in the Ming and Qing dynasties stand along both sides of the original nine narrow streets and offer great photo opportunities.
