Nestled along the Brisbane River that curves its way through the city, delight in cockatoos and kookaburras at the many green leafy parks, before heading into the urban precincts and indulging in world-class fare at one of many alfresco restaurants and bars overlooking the glittering Story Bridge.
If shopping is your thing, shop till you drop at Queen Street Mall – the central hub for shopping in the city, or head over to James Street, where small boutique stores blend local and international fashion designers. When to go to Brisbane
March - May
When Brisbane gets hot it can be scorching, the best time is to go is during the shouldering season, as the hot summer is calming from its humid hot temperatures. In the month of March to May Brisbane is comfortable and dry, while maintaining the sunny weather, rain usually is minimal. The temperature averages between 24.5 ËšC to 17 ËšC, but may get as low as 14 ËšC, so we advise taking a lightweight windbreaker just in case. The scenery in Brisbane is unexpectedly spectacular, known for its beaches and quintessential Queensland holiday greatness, during the Summer Autumn fringe, Brisbane is not too hot to be outdoors and enjoying a scenic walkabout.
