Itinerary
Day 1: Fort Worth
Welcome to the City of Cowboys and Culture! When you arrive in Fort Worth, Texas, check into your hotel and start exploring the friendly, laid-back city that welcomes more than nine million visitors annually. Today, you’ll get to use your included Stockyards Adventure Pass! First, you will receive a Fort Worth bandana, a Stockyards map, vouchers, and a Stockyards Adventure sticker. This pass gives you access to the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District’s many popular attractions and experiences.
Established in 1866, it’s one of the last remaining historic stockyards in the United States and features everything from rodeos to museums, western-themed shopping opportunities, and live music. On Main Street, meet a Texas Longhorn and capture memories with your camera and visit the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame to see the latest exhibits. Twice a day, watch as the cattle drive goes down Exchange Avenue led by Texas cowhands. Walk to the back of the Livestock Exchange Building and meet the drovers of the Fort Worth Herd, who are always dressed in late 1800s attire. At Billy Bob’s Texas, enjoy live music in a genuine Texas atmosphere, take a line dancing lesson, dine on a delicious Texas-sized meal at the Honky Tonk Kitchen and see the handprints of famous musicians, including Tim McGraw, BB King, Willie Nelson, and REO Speedwagon. A photo souvenir is also included! (Overnight in Fort Worth)

Day 2: Fort Worth
Continue appreciating the city and exploring on your own today. Dine in one of many Fort Worth restaurants offering everything from Tex-Mex and BBQ to world-class chef-prepared cuisine, relax near the gorgeous Water Gardens, view the John F. Kennedy memorial in front of the Fort Worth Hilton, stroll through Sundance Square, or visit the acclaimed Kimball Art Museum’s Italian Renaissance paintings and Egyptian artifacts and see more than 7,000 animals at the Fort Worth Zoo. Salute America’s heroes at the Military Museum, walk a section of the Trinity Trails, or check out a free outdoor concert. There’s just so much to see, do, and experience! (Overnight in Fort Worth)

Day 3: Fort Worth to Austin Train journey
In the afternoon, you’ll board the Texas Eagle and head toward Austin! When you arrive in the “Live Music Capital of the World,” check into your hotel. The evening is free for you to enjoy as you please as you continue embracing all things Texas. Stroll through downtown and marvel at the growing skyline’s gorgeous architecture, or enjoy some world-class barbeque and an avocado margarita in one of the city’s many incredible restaurants. (Overnight in Austin)

Day 4: Austin
Climb aboard a comfortable Mercedes van for your included Real Austin Tour! Discover the exciting landmarks, hidden gems, local favorites, historic neighborhoods, and all the delicious food that make this place so amazing. You’ll learn about its culture, music, famous people, and everything in between that makes people want to “Keep Austin Weird” from the passion and informative guides. Stop at the capital, the Welcome to Austin mural, food trucks, downtown, and the west, south, and east sides of the city. After this fun tour, you’ll understand why Austin is such a popular destination. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure. In August, head to the grassy banks of Lady Bird Lake around sunset and watch swarms of Mexican free-tailed bats fly out from underneath the Congress Avenue Bridge, which cross the Colorado River at the southern end of downtown. These bats are the largest urban bat colony in North America! (Overnight in Austin)

Day 5: Austin to San Antonio
Spend the morning on your own partaking in some traditional breakfast tacos and the afternoon continuing to get to know the city of Austin before boarding the Texas Eagle to San Antonio in the evening. A great option, especially if it’s warm out that day, is to spend the afternoon at Barton Springs, a year-round natural spring pool in Zilker Park. When you arrive in San Antonio, check into your hotel for a three-night stay and then step out and enjoy the rest of the day exploring this big city with a small-town vibe on your own. Maybe head over to a local favorite for an authentic Texas-style dinner and Tejano music. (Overnight in San Antonio)

Day 6: San Antonio
Today, begin using your multi-day hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour of San Antonio. Prepare to take in all the crowd-pleasing, popular sights and attractions that brought you to this incredible city. During this tour, you’ll have the chance to experience the city’s distinctive heritage, art, culture, and preeminent landmarks. Visit The Alamo (famous for the 1836 Battle for Texas Independence), take a relaxing cruise along the San Antonio River, see the oldest stone church in America (the Mission Concepcion), stroll through the Japanese Sunken Gardens and El Mercado’s quintessential Mexican shops, and get a glimpse of Mission San Jose’s exquisite Rose Window stone carving. The evening is all yours to enjoy at your leisure. Make a stop at the pedestrian-friendly, tree-lined Pearl District for some of the best tacos in Texas or catch a captivating play at the Majestic Theatre.  (Overnight in San Antonio)

Day 7: San Antonio
Are you ready to get a taste of frontier life? Well, today you’ll be doing just that with your included admission to The Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museums! Located right in the middle of downtown, this popular attraction features a café, gift shop, shooting gallery, and saloon. For more than 131 years, The Buckhorn Saloon has been a famous watering hole. Supposedly, it is the location where Pancho Villa planned the Mexican Revolution. It’s also known for its locally brewed beers on tap and icy Prickly Pear Margaritas. At the Texas Ranger Museum, check out some priceless artifacts that document Ranger history or enjoy some BBQ brisket at the café. Before leaving, make sure to stop in the gift shop where you can purchase cowboy hats, t-shirts, mugs, and all the other interesting items you can’t find anywhere else but in Texas. Spend the remainder of your day on your own in San Antonio however you choose. (Overnight in San Antonio)
