Our favourite things to see and do

Hinterland food and wine trail –
Pick your own fresh strawberries at The Strawberry Farm, try macadamia coffee at a nut orchard, learn how cheese is made (and sample the end result) and taste award-winning wines at the various cellar doors.

Surf clubs –
Everyone’s seen the iconic images of surf life saving on the beaches of Australia and the surf clubs do a great job at the patrolled beaches all along the Gold Coast. What many also offer are great meals at a great price, and of course being a surf club you’ll be dining waterfront!

Golf –
Tee off at one of the many golf courses on the Gold Coast. Popular options include Royal Pines, Palm Meadows and Emerald Lakes.

Shopping –
Looking for a bargain? Find all the best brands at all the best prices at Harbour Town Shopping Outlet centre. Shop till you drop at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, home to over 300 specialty stores. Plus there’s also great shopping at Robina Town Centre with both Myer and David Jones.

Theme parks –
You can’t help but get caught up in the excitement. If you’re travelling with little kids, teens or a group of mates there are plenty of options to keep everyone entertained for hours. Whether you’re a scaredy-cat or a thrill seeker, you won’t be disappointed!

Gold Coast oceanway –
A 36km network of paths along the beaches from the Gold Coast Seaway (The Spit) to the Point Danger Lighthouse (Coolangatta), this is a great way to explore the fabulous beaches on foot or by bike.

Events –
There are many family-friendly, free and low-cost events taking place across the Gold Coast every week. With international surfing titles, sporting clashes, 2018 Commonwealth Games, music festivals and markets showcased on a local and international scale, time your travel with the many events on offer to deliver good times and great memories, day or night on the Gold Coast.
