An interesting yin and yang with stunning views over Lake Tahoe, and the lure of casinos and live shows on the other side. A very underrated ski resort with 4,800 acres making Heavenly the largest ski resort in California. A well-suited resort for the intermediate skier and boarder with 45% being intermediate terrain.

 

RECOMMENDATION

With Lake Tahoe right on your doorstep why not take advantage of a dinner and dance cruise on board a paddle steamer. A two-hour tour on board the M.S.Dixie II the largest boat in South Lake Tahoe will take in views of Heavenly Mountain and Emerald Bay.

Fox News ranked Heavenly Ski Resort tubing # 1 tubing hill in America. This has to be on your list of activities to do. The tubing hill has five lanes of snow sliding fun and is over 500 feet long with a 65ft vertical drop. Riders must be more than 42 inches tall to ride, shorter riders and young children can come enjoy the mini-tubing hill adjacent to the main hill in Adventure peak.
