Competition entry and eligibility

1. This competition is open to New Zealand residents who are over the age of 18 years.

2. Employees (and their immediate families) of House of Travel, its subsidiaries, related entities or agencies associated with the promotion are not eligible to participate.

3. The overall competition period is from 07 January to 17 January 2025. 

4. To be eligible to win the ‘Prize’, a participant must be book at least three (3) nights accommodation and return airfares with House of Travel during the competition period. 

5. Only those people who are eligible for travel and meet the Government and Airline travel requirements, have the appropriate valid passports, visas and documentation to travel can enter the draw.

 

Prize Details

7. The ‘prize’ is one (1) of five (5) $2000 House of Travel gift cards.

8. The Prize Winners will be determined by a random [computer generated] prize draw on 03 February 2025 at the end of the Promotion Period. The draw will take place at the Promoter’s Head Office located at Level 2, 45 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010 at 10.00am NZT. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in case an ineligible entrant is drawn. The Prize Winners need not be present at the draw. 

9. If the winners do not contact House of Travel within seven (7) days of being announced, they will forfeit the right to the prize. The prize will then be re-drawn, and another winner will be announced.

10. The Prize Winners will be contacted by the Promoter via email or telephone beginning on Tuesday 04 February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

11. The winner agrees that their winning photo may be shared to the House of Travel social media accounts.

12. The ‘prize’ is not refundable, not transferable, nor exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash or foreign exchange.

13. Entering the competition constitutes a winner’s consent for House of Travel to use his or her name and city/town of residence for publicity purposes without compensation. This includes House of Travel’s website, direct and social media channels and PR.

 

Additional terms

14. By participating in this competition, entrants confirm acceptance and agreement to the terms and conditions of this competition.

15. The promoter of this competition is House of Travel Holdings Limited.

16. The prize and use of the prize are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the Promoter. These terms and conditions can be found here. 

17. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promotion may be abandoned or postponed at the unfettered discretion of the promoter.

18. The decisions of House of Travel on all matters relating to this competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. House of Travel reserves the right to verify the validity of an entry or a winner’s right to redeem the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. House of Travel reserves the right to amend the prizes offered and these terms and conditions and in its absolute discretion cancel the competition at any time and without prior notice.

19. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking part in, the winning of or use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

20. Any personal information collected as part of this competition will be held by House of Travel in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access, update and correct such information.

21. Privacy Collection Notification. House of Travel Holdings Limited and its related companies (“us”, “our”, “we”) are committed to respecting your privacy. In addition to any other purposes we have made known to you, we will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to enable us to conduct this competition.
