Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Noosa, Sunshine Coast 2017

After many trips to the Gold Coast, we finally made the choice to head up to the Sunshine Coast, and I tell you, I am totally converted. I really enjoy the Gold Coast but I LOVE Noosa.
There is so much to do, yet g you are just one of the thousands of tourist as it can be further south. We stayed at Culgoa Point Resort, which has it's on little beach on a peninsular where the river meets the main canal. Here you can swim off the beach, paddle board, kayak and even fish.  It's a short 20 min walk to Hastings Street, full of the best boutique shopping, cafes and restaurants. You can hire a boat and explore the many canals, visit the Farmers Markets on Saturday morning to stock up your apartment full of local goodness, walk up the point in the National Park or simply lie on the beach. We did visit Australia Zoo for my son's birthday and I hadn't been there since I was 14, so a lot had changed and we all enjoyed it.
I absolutely can't wait to head back, it would have to be one of the most relaxing, enjoyable family holidays we have ever had.

British Colombia Canada, October 2014

In 2014 I travel to Victoria, Vancouver and Whistler. It was an awesome trip and I can't wait until I go back. I spent a couple of nights in Victoria (Vancouver Island) and visited Butchart Gardens and went Whale watching. Unfortunately the weather caved in and we didn't get a chance to experience the float plane between Victoria and Vancouver but this is a must do if the chance allows. Drove the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler to enjoy 2 nights in this small ski resort town. As small as it is, it is packed with things to do .... shopping, skiing, hiking, zip lining, spas ... it's endless.
Down to Vancouver a stop at the Gold Mine Museum and the Sea to Sky Gondola overlooking the water. Vancouver is known for Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge (which is a great photo op for some beautiful scenery), Vancouver Lookout and Granville Island which has the most amazing fresh produce market and all just a short taxi or ferry ride from downtown.

Port Douglas, August 2012

Tropical North Queensland was the destination for my honeymoon. It was relaxing, warm and everything you would expect from a Queensland holiday. We did a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef - and while a bit rough heading out there, it was amazing to see the reef up close. Quicksilver was a great operator to spend the day with.

Cook Islands - April, 2010

There has always been a bit of a debate as to whether Fiji or Rarotonga is the place to travel to in the Islands, having been to Fiji before and loved it I was sceptical that Raro could top this …… It didn’t top it, it surpassed all expectations!! 5 days relaxing on the mainland was absolute bliss, the staff at the Pacific Resort and Sanctuary Resort are top notch and so friendly. But the highlight of my trip would have to be my overnight in Aitutaki at Tamanu Beach. Pictures don’t do it justice, the water is crystal clear, warm and a snorkelling mecca. I can’t wait to head back to Rarotonga, it’s a place I could travel to time and time again.

Contiki Agents Famil - April, 2010

I was lucky enough to travel to Europe in 2012 to participate in a Agents Contiki Famil. Not having been to UK or Europe before was the perfect way for me have a taste of these new countries to me. We started off in London, travelled to Paris to try some snails, onto Switzerland and up the Jungfrou Mountain, back to France to the Bueajoulis wine region, down to Nice and Monte Carlo for some winning action at the casio and finished up with Florence and Rome. Hands down one of the best trips so far and can’t wait to go back.

Los Angeles - October, 2009

Certainly not a place to spend a relaxing holiday as for seven days I was on the go so I would definitely recommend 10 days at least to enjoy this awesome USA destination. Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Sea World, Santa Monica, Legoland, Knotts Berry Farm, Laguna Beach and then theres the shopping ……  I enjoyed LA so much that I am planning my trip back for next year and to get our relaxation fix we are adding on a 4 night cruise to Mexico the perfect ending to a amazing trip.

Thailand - April, 2007

Bangkok and Phuket was my first introduction to Asia and I absolutely loved it. The culture, the people, the beaches, marketing shopping and the food ….. it was certainly a new experience for me. After two nights of enjoying all that Bangkok had to offer we travelled South to Phuket for 6 nights to Kata Beach. The best thing about Kata Beach is that it is a little more secluded and quieter than staying in the heart of Patong but not too far if you want to catch a Tuk Tuk there to enjoy some of the night life.  Our Resort was right on the beach, so no roads to cross and at our door step were restaurants, convenience stores and local shops it had everything you need for a wonderfully relaxed Thailand holiday.
