Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Botswana & Zimbabwe

I was lucky enough to visit Botswana & Zimbabwe in November, 2018 with a group of fellow agents from NZ.
We flew Singapore Airlines via Singapore to Johannesburg, spending 1 night there & doing a fascinating half-day tour to Soweto, & seeing where Nelson Mandela grew up.
From there we flew to Victoria Falls where we spent 2 days exploring the area and staying in some amazing lodges on the mighty Zambezi.

After spending 2 amazing nights on safari at Bomani Tented Lodge in Hwange National Park, we travelled across the border to Botswana for more incredible game park experiences in Chobe National Park.
Our last night was spent across the Chobe River in Namibia at an
incredible resort called Chobe Water Villas.
From there, it was time to head back home via Johannesburg, which
was a unique experience in itself as we travelled through 4 countries in 1 day
(Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa).
This was a truly memorable experience, with so many amazing highlights.
I am more than happy to share my experiences with you and help plan your dream holiday there one day.

Cruising the Mediterranean

I have just recently returned from a week-long cruise in the Mediterranean on Princess Cruises brand new ship, the very impressive Sky Princess.

We had a day wandering the streets of Rome before the cruise started, taking in the historic sites of this ancient city.

The next day we headed to Civitavecchia to board our cruise. This is about a 1-hour bus journey from downtown Rome.

We had a balcony cabin on the cruise, and I would recommend booking at least a balcony cabin when cruising around the Mediterranean.

The Sky Princess is also an Ocean Medallion class ship, which brings a brand new interactive experience to cruising through various apps you can download on your phone. Ask me more about it.

We visited Kotor, Corfu, Malta, Sicily & Naples (Pompeii & Amalfi Coast) on the cruise, and the highlight would’ve had to have been visiting Taormina on the island of Sicily. It is around a 1-hour drive from the port to what is a beautiful, quaint wee hillside town, with amazing views of Mt Etna & the Med.

After the cruise, I headed to Belgrade, Serbia for a few days, and it was a fascinating place to explore, with both it’s old & recent history.

I then had an overnight stopover in Doha, Qatar on my way home, before flying home from Doha in Qatar Airways new Q-Suite Business class cabin.
What a way to end a fantastic holiday.
