Fiji Matai Famil November 2018

As a Fiji Matai specialist, we get special access to their famils. I was lucky enough to be chosen for their November Matai famils and by group focused on the beautiful Mamanuca Islands.
We spent one week travelling around all the different Mamanuca Islands and I visited so many different resorts - sometimes 4-5 in a day!! It gave me a fantastic overview of the variety of properties, there really is something for everyone. As a first timer to Fiji I fell in love with the people, the stunning water and landscapes and the amazing resorts and hotels they have on offer too.
Highlights from this trip include the service at Tokoriki Island Resort and Tropica. Lunch at Likuliku and Tokoriki Island Resort; jumping off the edge of the floating bar called Cloud 9; sipping cocktails in the pool at Malamala Beach Club; enjoying the privacy of Matamanoa's pool villas and checking the overwater bungalows of Likuliku's Resort

House of Travel Fiji Specialist Famil April 2019

With House of Travel developing strong relationships in the Fiji market, the Fiji Gold Specialists for each store were invited to Fiji for a week to experience some of the areas of Fiji. My groups focus was on the Coral Coast and I was lucky enough to spend a couple of nights on a Blue Lagoon Cruise that visited the Yasawa Islands.
Our first night was visiting Treasure Island resort, where we did some amazing snorkelling and got to help feed the baby turtles. We then visited Plantation Island where we saw the new hotel room development and tried the most amazing Fijian local food!!
On the Coral Coast we visited a number of properties, including the wonderful Shangri La Fijian, Outrigger, the Warwick and the Naviti. Befofre heading to the Blue Lagoon Cruise, we were also lucky enough to see the brand new Pullman Nadi Bay just before it was opening!
The Blue Lagoon Cruise was fantastic and a really great thing to experience. I loved how they support the local villlages and communities, and the whole vibe on the ship was something I will remember forever. It's a very small ship and I would say it's not for anyone that cruises for the big ship experience - but definitely for anyone that likes to visit out of the way places, experience local cultures, enjoys good snorkelling and a bit of fun. Even after a couple of nights it was sad to leave! Our last night was spent at the Radisson - my favourite family friendly resort in Denarau. Happy to answer any questions around any of the areas and resorts!
