Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Maldives 2019

My husband & I set off to the Maldives to celebrate our 30th birthdays. This was a destination we had always wanted to travel to and it did not disappoint. We stayed at the adults-only Centara Ras Fushi Resort and it was an absolute dream. We spent our days relaxing by the beach, snorkelling and enjoying the all-inclusive food & drinks. Highly recommend to anyone looking to head away to celebrate a special occasion or for some R&R time.

P&O Cruise 2019

My Mum & I went on a 4-night P&O Cruise, Auckland-Napier-Auckland onboard the Pacific Aria (P&Os newest ship to the New Zealand market). We had such a fun time, with lots to do onboard such as bingo, shopping, quizzes, hanging out at the Oasis (adults only area), eating at the multiple restaurants and just enjoying the sea breeze and quality time together. A good sampler cruise to determine if you're a cruisling.

Melbourne 2018

Fell in love with this city - what an awesome vibe it has.
So easy to get around (thanks to the free Trams in the CBD) and lots of things to see & do. Amazing lane-ways to get lost in. Be sure to visit Hosier Lane. I also did a Yarra Valley Wine Tour and this was amazing getting out into the country. And of course... shopped until I dropped.
Would go back in a heartbeat.

Philippines 2018

The Philippines are awesome, absolutely loved this holiday. It's got picturesque white sandy beaches, clear blue water and the price-tag of an Asian destination so makes it very very affordable! My husband & I had 11 nights here (split between Bohol & Siquijor) and in this time we were able to visit the Chocolate Mountains, visit a Tarsier sanctuary, enjoy a river cruise, swim with turtles and we did a day tour to swim with whale-sharks which was certainly the highlight, along with relaxing and a lot of massages on the beach.

London, Bath & Cotswolds 2018

London has my heart, I absolutely love this city. From the tradition, the royals, the majestic buildings, the great London pubs to navigating the tube system. London has it all.

After London, I embarked on a Back-Roads tour to the beautiful & quaint Cotswolds villages (think Midsomer Murders villages), via Lacock (this was a highlight as I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and we got to see famous sites from the movies) to Bath then back to London, via Longleat House.

Thailand 2017

This was my first ever Asian holiday experience. Hubby & I had two nights in Singapore which was a great soft first introduction to Asia, we then ventured onto Koh Samui for 3 nights; from here we went to Elephant Hills (a once in a lifetime experience getting to prepare the elephants food, give them a bath and then feed them) and from here we went to the Floating Camp in Khao Sok National Park which was just beautiful. After this experience we needed some R&R time spending 4 nights in Phuket. The Phi Phi Island day trip is a must as you get to see the famous beach location from "The Beach" movie. Thailand was such an amazing holiday and is definitely value for money.

Rarotonga 2016

Blissful Rarotonga.
What better way to spend your Honeymoon that having some quality R&R time in the beautiful Cook Islands. We had 9 nights in Rarotonga and loved every moment of it. You definitely need to hire a scooter to venture out of the resort and hit the Muri Night Markets which come highly recommended.

APT River Cruise Famil: Amsterdam - Nuremburg 2015

I was lucky enough to do an APT River Cruise for 7 nights from Amsterdam to Nuremburg. This was an amazing luxurious experience and if you have the opportunity; you should do one - you won't regret it. This was an all-inclusive trip so not once did you need to put your hand in your pocket, all meals, drinks & shore excursions were included. Definitely value for money for that all-inclusive experience.

Queenstown 2014

Sometimes there is nothing better than travelling in your own backyard; Queenstown. Although in New Zealand, I felt like I was in another country. The scenery is just beautiful and with it being the "adventure capital of the world" there is so much to do. Everyone should visit Queenstown as it is just stunning.

Guernsey, London & Norway 2007

An awesome family holiday. We kick started this holiday by venturing to Guernsey where my Mum was born & raised. Highlights of this portion was seeing inside my Mums home and visiting all the German military sites (the Underground Hospital & the German Bunkers). Next stop was London where I got to see the famous Westminster Abbey. Final stop was Norway for my brothers wedding. Norway has gorgeous scenery and looks very similar to New Zealand. A home away from home.
