P & O Cruise

October 21st 2016, My partner and I departed on our trip. We had a night in Brisbane before we jumped aboard our cruise ship (pacific dawn). We had 7 days on the boat visiting three places. Vanuatu, Noumea and Lifou'. We had an awesome experience, and loved how everything was in one place. We had another night in Brisbane when we returned before we headed back home. The islands are so beautiful and defiantly an experience to see how other people live.

Vietnam

July the 5th 2018, Pete and I embarked on a trip of a lifetime to Vietnam!
We were on a tour with Active Asia for 10 days, visiting Saigon, Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi and Halong Bay.
Highlights of Saigon were visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and the War Museum. Pete was keen enough to go down the tunnels and fire a M16. We stayed 4 nights in Saigon then departed to Hoi An on a short flight with Vietnam Airlines. Arriving into Hoi An, we had a short guided walk around the old quarter. Second day in Hoi An we had a day at leisure, so we decided to hire a bike. We biked 5 km to the beach from our hotel and explored the small town at our own pace.
After a short 2 night visit to Hoi An, it was time to visit Hue, travelling there via car, over the Hai Van Pass. Arriving into Hue just after lunch we spent the afternoon at leisure exploring Hue. Our nexted day in Hue, we visited lots of sight seeing places, and took a short boat ride down the perfume river. Our tour guide for Hoi An/Hue was outstanding, full of knowledge and knew everything we wanted to know.
EMM hotel in Hue was defiantly our favourite accommodation. Amazing pool facilities, great restaurant, and the rooms were a good size!
Our last destination to visit was Hanoi. Arriving by Vietnam Airlines mid morning. We spent the afternoon exploring Hanoi, visiting the markets before a early start the following morning to Halong Bay.
Halong Bay was my favourite! We spent a night on board a junk boat, visiting caves and kayaking. Unfortunately it was raining this day, but it didn't stop us getting out and doing the activities. There is 1969 rocks in Halong bay, and the view is incredible! The food on board was really good, and always something to do.
Our very last day in Vietnam was spending the morning driving back from Halong bay, then spending the late afternoon/night at the night markets which are on every Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings. It is absolutely crazy! Great shopping!
We flew Cathay Pacific for our international flights, every good!
