Girls Shopping Tour - Melbourne November 2017

Melbourne Melbourne Melbourne .. what a delight to the senses!
It was a privilege to join Pam Young & Jo Seagar on their annual shopping trip.  A wonderful group of ladies - ozzing enthusiasm & positivity and geninue kindness.  All loving life.  And yes .. then there's the food, wine & coffee with a decent sprinkling of shopping.

Buenos Aires - Labour weekend October 2017

Buenos Aires - a stunning city for our team appreciation trip.

Paris - July

le Gai Paris – one of my most favourite cities in the world!  Jason’s daily walking tours planned for our family meant we ‘saw’ Paris every day.  Perhaps not the perfect plan for our 5 nights in Paris in HOT July – but fabulous no less.  We discovered private gardens, original city landmarks and learned the history – such a fascinating city offers.
Playing Petanque in a park with a local, drinking wine from disposal plastic cups, before nightfall was memorable, as was my 3 hour shopping trip with a personal shopper – visiting french made labels stores I wouldn’t normal venture into!
The food delights as promised – from restaurants to a EUR3 crepe sitting on the sidewalk watching local buskers.

UK - July 2014

Returning to London with our young family for a week was fantastic.  Showing them where we lived 20 years ago - and what was part of our daily lives.  Dining at restaurants we could only look at through the window, previously reading the menus with our mouth's watering during our OE days - and visiting the many iconic landmarks.

The Beefeater's stories at the Tower of London entertained Ryan (aged 5yrs) and queuing (albeit unsuccessfully) at Wimbledon - but still be part of the hype, is in Kate's (9yrs) memories.

Up to the Cotswolds, and our rental house in Lower Swell, just down the road from Stow on the Wold.  What a fabulous base for exploring this fantastic region of England. Walks along the National Trust walking trails, often through local farms, meandering through local villages was fun as a family, as was visiting the Chedworth Roman Villa.  We got lots of ideas from

A night out to watch Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company was enthralling for us all.   As was the Royal International Air Tattoo.  There is so much to do in July!

Princess Cruise - Scandinavia & Russia - July

Sailing from Copenhagen, on our 10 night cruise was a wonderful way to visit the cities of Scandinavia, the Baltic - and to include St Petersburg, Russia.  Each day was a highlight, and to return 'home' each evening to cabin 307 was great.

Visiting the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg before public opening time was a treat, and better than I remembered 20+ years earlier.  The city has changed a bit since our last visit, and it is a much better gourmet experience now.

The Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo was fun, as was

Adelaide - October

A wonderful destination where I can get my Australian shopping fix and then relax and enjoy the City & surrounds.

A highlight of our recent visit was making our own wine – choosing the %’s of 3 types of wine, to make our own original.  I was amazed by the science of wine making – and where on your pallet you ‘taste’ each type of grape.

We also did an excursion around McLaren Vale with Off Piste 4WD Tours.  I felt so lucky to visit these private areas, and was amazed within such a small area the land is so different.  Dinner at d'Arenberg winery was the Crème de la crème.
