My amazing first famil with Air NZ and Destination Queensland. After flying into Cairns, we had a great time exploring the Tropical North. Truly natures playground and a real Bucket List destination. The only area in the world with TWO UNESCO world heritage sites side-by-side! Snorkeling on the edge of the Great Barrier reef is an experience is will never forget, as is soaring through the Daintree Rainforest on a zip-line. the trip was topped off with a helicopter trip to our own private island for champagne.
Yet again back to Australia- but this with a very different mode of transport. I didnt know what to expect with The Ghan. I really thought it was jsut for "old people" but i had a fantastic time. The other passengers are often hard case and love to socialize. Staff are brilliant- even buying some mint at the next stop for our requested Mojitos. Food onboard is spectacular and beverages are all inclusive.
One stop not to be missed is Coober Pedy- the mining town built underground to avoid the heat! I recommend doing the trip from North to South so you dont miss this town.
Jumped onboard for a 4-day sector of a World Cruise. The ship felt familiar as used to be the Pacific Pearl owned by P&O.
This cruise brand isn't all about flashy and busy- they instead have low-key sports tournaments organised and Abba dance parties under the stars. Very much suited to an older clientele and are majority British. Very good humor!
You will find this company is extremely good value and a great way to explore the world without the huge price tag.
Finally time for my first holiday as an agent!
Kept it very simple and booked flights, car and hotel only. Roads in Samoa are badly maintained and full of potholes so recommend confident drivers only. Center lines also seem to be optional.
Gorgeous piglets all around the island!
A very relaxed place, and would recommend to stay on the South Coast instead of in Apia. Keep in mind that most beaches around the island are family owned so you will be asked to pay a small fee to swim there (about $5WST).
