Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Portugal, Spain, Morocco. September 2019

This trip has been on my bucket list for years and I finally made it!  I had a great 17 days travelling with Globus on their Spain, Portugal & Morocco tour.  This trip had it all - scenery, culture, shopping and some of the best food ever!

Thailand, June 2017

How's this for a once in a lifetime experience - giving an elephant a bath!  Elephant Hills is Thailand's first luxury tented jungle camp and it was such a fantastic experience, from kayaking to light jungle trekking and of course, meeting the elephants close up.  This is an ethical camp so we know for sure that the elephants are happy and well cared for.  Such a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone.

Mexico, October 2016

In October I took part in an Intrepid tour - the Real Food Adventure in Mexico.  We spent time in Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca and Mazunte before returning to Mexico City where I stayed for the Day of the Dead festival.  I loved everything about Mexico and I found that this trip far exceeded all of my expectations.  Mexico is a beautiful country with so much diversity and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.  Intrepid were great to travel with, nice small group size and a brilliant guide who ensured that we were well taken care of.

Buenos Aires, June 2016

Buenos Aires is a great city, perfect for a stopover on your way to Europe or on your way to other parts of South America.  The city is full of European influences from the architecture to the food.  A great experience was making the day trip to Colonia Del Sacramento in Uruguay.  This beautiful town is a UNESCO world heritage site and was well worth the visit.
