Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Caribbean and Colombia

2019/2020
An amazing Christmas vacation. We spent 7 days at Club Med Turkoise in the Caribbean. Very easy to be entertained and would highly recommend to those who don't want to think.
2nd leg was our Colombian adventure - absolutely loved it and would return immediately. Very hospitable, cultural, safe and fabulous food! Love love loved!

Switzerland & France 2018

One of the most fun group/family experiences. We hired a Locaboat in France with my parents and cruised the Alsace Canals for 7 days. Stopping wherever you wanted, riding bikes in the French countryside, delicious pastries and wines - what could go wrong! Also popped into Switzerland for 7 days and caught up with friends and can highly recommend train holidays.

NYC - 2017

Did something I've never done before - stayed 8 nights in one place. Absolutely loved exploring this city with my husband, sister and her partner! Lots of great coffee, bagels, bike riding adventures, subways, gondolas and cocktails. Saw so much and have plenty of highlights to share.

India 2017

Wow - was that an adventure. Spent 11 days within the Golden Triangle region of India with my husband and parents on a 2* guided holiday. My senses were awoken with smells, tastes and sights no picture can describe. Loved the heat and adventure. But did get sick of the all the curry's (especially for breakfast).

Avalon River cruise in France - July 2016

I spent 7 days with a fabulous bunch of travel experts exploring the Seine between Paris and Normandy. You really do have to love the unpacking once, 5* meals and personal service as maximum of 130 passengers onboard. Favourite sights include Monet's Garden and the small quaint town of Auvers Sur Oise where Van Gogh lived and died. Shopping in Rouen couldn't be missed.

Greek Islands and Jerusalem - March 2016

Travelled with my husband (Marty) to meet up with my family living in the Middle East. Greece was amazing and we absolutely adored the Islands - particular the unknown quieter ones and Athens was a pleasant surprise. Jerusalem meant quality time with my brother and nieces. Happy to share my experiences and knowledge.

Luxury Cruising 2018

Amazing experience both on boat and land. I cruised on the Windstar Legend - so many wow moments throughout the Okinawan Islands and China. Snorkelling in Japan, hiking in Taiwan. Shanghai was an architects dream and exploring the Great Wall from Beijing.

Brazil 2018

I have just returned from Rio De Janerio and the Amazon. 2 super amazing destination in one country. The bright lights and vibrancy of Rio which certainly knows how to party to the remote and exciting adventures in the jungle. Photo is of me with the rare pink dolphin. Certainly a 'wow' moment.

Patagonia

October 2015
I travelled with World Journey's to Chile and Argentina to visit the fiords and ice capped mountains of the Torres del Paine National Park and Patagonia. An absolutely amazing trip with my highlight being landing on Cape Horn, the southern point of South America. We capped off the cool weather with 3 days of fun and sun in Buenos Aires. You can't go wrong with Tango's and steaks!

Myanmar

I travelled in September 2015 and Myanmar is now the top of my south East Asia list. That says a lot for someone who has lived in Asia for over 5 years! Lots of amazing photo opportunities with welcoming people and the most stunning scenery and tasty food! 10/10.

Abu Dhabi

I went for 7 days as a guest of Etihad and Abu Dhabi tourism. Absolutely amazing with some spectacular highlights - the Falcon Hospital, Ferrari World (including standing on the finish line of the Formula 1 track) and a dune safari via 4WD. The properties ranged from St Regis and The Anantara (on a private island) to Sheraton and Le Meridian. Very much a highlight of my travel career.

Port Douglas and surrounds

4 days in the northern tropics of Queensland. Lots of hotels along the coast from Cairns to Port Douglas and all the activities in between. Crocodiles, outback eateries, rainforests and a special trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Met a friendly Kiwi pilot on the 10 minute helicopter ride over the reef (you can find us anywhere).

Favourites

WATER: 7 days live aboard boat snorkelling in the Maldives, Aitutaki in Rarotonga, Caye Caulker in Belize swimming with sharks.
FOOD: tapas in San Sebastian, takoyaki in Japan, ceviche in Mexico and Pacific Islands.
ANIMALS: sloths in Costa Rica, holding a baby crocodile in Egypt, spending an afternoon with a variety of reptiles on Kangaroo Island, Australia!
