Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

I have just come back from Bali where I spent the week relaxing and exploring the Island.

My first stop was in Legian, staying at a resort right across from the beach. We got to relax poolside, trying the local restaurants who all had delicious food and experiencing the beautiful sunsets at the beach with a few cocktails.

Our next stop was in Ubud where we experienced a bit more of the cultural side of Bali.

Located in Central Ubud is the Royal Palace and the Water Palace, along with many different temples. In the evenings, there are Traditional Dances performed at the Temples and Palace.

From Ubud, you can also check you the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and amazing waterfalls such as the Tibumana Waterfall.

Make sure to check out Ubud while in Bali, even if just for a day trip.

UK & Europe with Contiki

In June, I went back home to the UK for the first time since I moved to NZ 15 years ago and also did the European Discovery with Contiki, visiting 9 countries in 12 days!

The first two weeks of my trip were spent in the UK, visiting Family and exploring London, Manchester and Scotland.

London was a great city to start my trip off in. Exploring all the major attractions, watching the Lion King Theatre show and even visiting Warner Bro's Harry Potter World.

Scotland quickly became one of my favourite places to visit. With the beautiful countryside and interesting history, Scotland is high on my list to keep exploring.

I headed back down to London to start my European Discovery with Contiki. Highlights of my tour were:

- Tuscan Dinner in Florence
- Canal Ride in Venice
- Wine Tasting in St Goar, Germany
- Sunset Cruise across Lake Lucerne
- Bike Riding through Munich
- Visiting the Vatican and Colosseum in Rome
- Seeing the Eiffel Tower in Paris

It was a fantastic way to get my first snapshot of Europe!

Trip to Anaheim

I was lucky to experience a trip to Anaheim in the US in November this year.

On this trip, we spent two days at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Land experiencing the Disney Magic, exciting rides and the Christmas Fireworks.

Disneyland have a special event that happens during the Christmas Season where they make it 'Snow' on the main street of Disneyland which was a truly magical experience.

Also, highly recommend to check out the evening shows World of Colour and Fantasmic.

Along with Disneyland, we visited Knotts Berry Farm. A great place for Thrill seekers looking for the big rollercoasters.

On our final day, we spent shopping at the Citadel Outlets, taking advantage of the amazing sales on popular brands.
