Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

USA - Canyon Country Adventure tour

I had no desire to go back to the USA until I attended this trip with Globus - it was amazing and absolutely nothing what I remembered the USA to be like. Visiting the states of Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Hawaii was very diverse from walking in the fantastic National Parks (outstanding!!!) to walking the strip in Las Vegas, then taking some RnR on Waikiki beach. This trip had something to suit everyone. I was surprised to find healthy salads on the menu in most places - fantastic food! Breath taking views over the Canyon - an early morning hike to the bottom, an experience you can not explain. A personal highlight visiting Monument Valley.  A place I had seen so many times on the TV whilst sat down to watching a spaghetti western film with my dad when I was young. Learning about the native Navajo people of the area.. humbling.

European River Cruise

Experiencing a European river cruise another highlight of my travelling adventures... sailing down the rivers Main & Rhine from Amsterdam to Nuremburg one of the most relaxing ways to visit. However that's not to say there is nothing to do! Everyday there is a different sight to see or visit. From  discovering rich history to cycling, the choice is yours. The benefit of course is seeing various towns & villages along the way and only unpacking once. On board your floating hotel there is also a sense of a traveling family .. you may not get to meet or chat to everyone, however you do get to swap stories and perhaps to discuss what you have seen throughout the day. Then in the evening get to sample some amazing food & wine usually local produce. So if you are a first time visitor to Europe or have been several times, I would suggest giving this a try... you will not be disappointed.

Visiting Rajasthan is one of the most memorable famils I have been lucky enough to have been on. Hosted by Peregrine Adventures it certainly was that! The mix of history, culture, colors and smells all helped to enable a sensory overload. I remember coming back from India feeling more spiritual, more knowledgeable with a full appreciation of the Indian culture. Being part of a tour really enables you to sit back and take everything in. After all, you are there to experience new things and not to be caught up with the day to day running of your trip - I would highly recommend this to be the way to go whilst you are there.. just being able to get back into an AC bus after the sights you have seen.. heaven!
There is so much more of India to see.... I look forward to the day I return again to discover a new part of the country.
