Dubai Famil – May, 2012

Hotel – The Address on the Mall – twin roomVery nice room, spacious, bathroom with bath – Great location connected to the Dubai Mall.

On the first day of our trip we visited Burj Khalifa. It is the tallest building in the world, at over 828 metres and over 160 stories high. It is important to pre book the visit as it can get booked out. Dubai Mall, with 1200 retail outlets plenty of option for shopping but also plenty of activities for children: kidzania (miniature world), ice rink, aquarium and sega republic (games area). After shopping, we went to Wild Wadi to visited the water park, it offers 30 rides and attractions, good for families and can be very busy

The next day we a tour of Ski Dubai, an indoor snow resort, great infrastructure. In the afternoon we went for a quick walk through the gold and spice souks and visit the Dubai Museum. Followed by a stop on the Dubai Autodrome where we played laser tag and went karting (not really a middle east experience)

On the morning of the third day, we met with the local hosts and had lunch at the Hard Rock Café (the leader singer of the band from Australia). We spent the afternoon at Arabian Adventures Sundowner. Definitely the highlight of the trip, we got picked up by 4 x 4 vehicles from the hotel to the sand dunes, stop for falconry show and also to watch the sunset. Once in the camp there are lots of activities to be experienced such as camel rides, aromatic water pipes, henna tattoos and belly dancing. We left our hotel at 1630 and got back about 2300 a super fun night that cannot be missed!
