10 day holiday driving around Puglia. First stop Bari, stayed in the old town and settled into the Italian way - siesta and great food!!
Unesco World Heritage Site. These dry-stone buildings are made from local limestone. A dense mass of 1500 beehive-shaped houses, white-tipped as if dusted by snow.
A city cut into the hills, cave dwelling, truly remarkable
Speaking of caves, we tried dining in one for lunch!!
My favourite township in Puglia
Known for its baroque buildings and Roman amphitheatre. Took a train ride round the city to view the sights.
Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano, Positano, Capri, Sorrento - is a must. We hired our own skippered boat, docked at a beach restaurant only accessible by boat & ate the catch of the day!
To understand the volume of water that pumps through these falls, it has to be seen to be believed. Tip - no point taking a rain coat when you view the falls by boat, you will get wet anyway!!
My favourite summer vacation spot - Honolulu, Maui & Kona!
Visited Capilano Suspension Bridge over winter and saw the Christmas lights, which was good as took my mind off the fact I was so terrified to cross back over that bridge!!
