Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Recently visited Fiji on a MEGA FAMIL after Cyclone Winston and was amazed by how quickly they bounced back, how friendly and welcoming the locals were. Also a great place to experience the sun, beach and sea. If you are looking for a family holiday.. look no further - Fiji is the place to go!

Amazing place to visit for a short break. Some of the highlights I enjoyed on my famil was quad biking on the sand dunes in Port Stephens, the roller coaster Zipline at TreeTop adventures and climbing up Sydney Harbour Bridge. You could even getaway for the weekend to watch a musical show - like Matilda or The Lion King!

Great place for a family holiday with lots to see and do from Universal Studios, Sentosa Island to the Singapore Zoo , Night Safari , Gardens by the bay, Marina Bay Sands. There is plenty of shopping, roof top bars and restaurants to visit too.

So far I have visited USA part of my famils and personal travel. Hawaii , Los Angeles , San Francisco, New York , Washington DC and Boston to name a few are some of my favorite places.

Going to California for the first time, we decided to do both Los Angeles and San Francisco in one week. Instead of taking a flight , we took the train from LA to San Francisco which was such a nice way to see the countryside which is a bit off the beaten track. We even did a stop at a small town called Monterey Bay for a night which had the best seafood ever!  And DISNEYLAND , it  is truly the happiest place on earth! There is something for everyone even the big kids. Don't forget to download the app - saves you walking to attractions only to find out it is temporarily closed.

In New York the passes are a great way to get around and do the sights. My favorite spot was the Top of the Rock which gives you a birds eye view of NYC including the Empire State building. In my opinion , Christmas is the best time to visit - with all the fairy lights and Christmas markets - you wont be disappointed.
In Hawaii you will be welcomed with a warm ALOHA from the locals. If you are looking for an island destination with a small city influence this is the place to go. From the adventurous kind to the sit back and relax and the shopaholics.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a fantastic destination all year round, I’d recommend visiting the South West Coast region between October – April and the East Coast from May – September. Sri Lanka offers amazing culture, history, nature, wildlife, cuisine and beaches!
Stay at the Geoffrey Bawa properties spread throughout Sri Lanka to get a unique experience which combines the islands architectural heritage with natural landscapes - Heritance Kandalama,  Kandy House, Lighthouse Hotel, The Villa Bentota , Lunuganga just to name a few. The 98 Acres Resort in Nuwara Eliya is another hidden gem surrounded by a tea estate up in the hillside.
There are so many things to see and do while in Sri Lanka, a few top picks include: Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Anuradhapura Ancient Capital, Sacred Tooth Relic a Buddhist temple in Kandy, tea plucking and blending in Nuwara Eliya, Yala National Park and a river safari in Bentota.
You can’t go past delicious, local Sri Lankan cuisine! Ministry of Crab at the Dutch Hospital shopping precinct in Colombo is well-known for seafood - make sure you try a fish curry. Kottu, isso vadai and hoppers are popular street eats and traditional samosas, fish rolls and vegetable roti will have your taste buds tingling.
