Where I've Been

Favourite Holidays

Broome to Perth

An amazing contrast to the rest of Australia, The West Coast but the most amazing untouched coast line.   Ayers Rock/Darwin - a very cultural experience, took a camel to breakfast, climbed Ayers Rock, enjoyed Fanny Bay Jail in Darwin and dined whilst watching crocodiles play under neath - also enjoyed a day tour through Kakadu National Park.

Cruising Alsaka

Hearing the thunder of the ice bergs breaking and also enjoyed Alaska spotting bear and moose through Denali National Park Cunard Experience of the Queen Mary and original QE11 - living like Royalty loving the white glove service and on the high tea!

Cairns and Tropical North Queensland

Pick up a car, take a tour to the Great Barrier Reef, and board the Karunda Railway - choose a day when there are markets for the best experience.

Cruising Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia

What a gorgeous climate to cruise and a lovely ship too. Cruising Diamond Princess, experiencing the heart wrenching images at the Atomic Bomb museum in Nagasaki, the smells of the fish markets in Korea, the silk embroidery factories of Vietnam and of course walking a smidgen of the Great Wall of China and walking Tiannamen Square, a Chinese Tea ceremony and the pandas at the zoo - not to mention the markets!

Canadian Rockies - Via Rail

My favourite hotel in the world Jasper Park Lodge. The Jasper APT River Cruise from Nuremberg to Amsterdam is quite different to big ship experience, but a very relaxing way to travel. It gives you the opportunity to visit local villages as opposed to the ports.

New York: must sees Statue of Liberty, Site of the Twin Towers, SHOPPING, SHOPPING and MORE SHOPPING!
Los Angeles: Disneyland and of course Universal Studios
San Diego: A great gateway for cruising Mexico, the opportunity to board an aircraft carrier even, San Francisco, The Golden Gate Bridge, The Steepest street in the world, and Fishermans Wharf with great restaurants.

The Paul Gauguin, Tahiti is a small all inclusive cruise experience - couldn't think of a better short break amongst some of the most exclusive islands in the Pacific Islands.

Barcelona a very happening city, also travelled to Grenada, Saville, Madrid and Malaga

My African Adventure,  Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Johannesburg, Durban and  Capetown. Capetown is my 2nd favourite place – simply gorgeous! Shakaland – home for the Zulus very much like Rotorua and Hells Gate.

Other highlights include; seeing the thunderous Victoria Falls, Table Mountain in Capetown, Robbin Island – Where Nelson Mendala was imprisoned.  Africa a truly life changing experience.

River Cruising

A fairy tale experience, the castles along the Rhine River.  The small villages.
Beautiful floor or ceiling windows will definitely not disappoint you as you simply watch the world pass you buy.  A must do experience.

How fortunate to visit this very untouched part of our precious world.  There is no where else like it. The ice bergs are awe inspiring.  The wildlife stunning.  24 hour daylight. Certainly a bucket list tick.

Albatross Tours - Small Group, All Inclusive
We travelled with them on Italian Grande - 18 days
Was fantastic, with Albatross what they say you get is what you get, no optional extras, no topping, breakfast and 5 course dinner with wine, fabulous located hotels.
Maximum 28 persons on any tour and usually Australian & New Zealanders only.

Trafalgar Tour

Over 19 days we visited Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Finland and Estonia – – an amazing journey!

Norway, I think, is my favourite place for scenery.
