Where have we been lately?

This year Katrina returned to her favourite spot in Phuket, Twin Palms Resort. A quick trip to Perth, visiting the Margaret River region, also the Gold Coast & Fiji. Katrina has most recently got back from an amazing Uni World Boutique River cruise in France, and got to watch the All Blacks play in Paris!

Karen has travelled to Barcelona to be part of the launch of the Royal CaribbeanShip ‘Harmony of the Seas’, cruised from Lisbon to Southampton on Oceania and did a river cruise with Tauck from Amsterdam to Basel. She also visited Buenos Aires and had the opportunity to go to Iguazu Falls: "I have been to Niagara and Victoria Falls but this was the most impressive."

Has done a short trip to Sydney this year, and also visited Vietnam.

In October Bronwyn did an 8 day trip to Cambodia, taking in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Siem Reap, and Angkor Wat at sunrise.

In August/September 2016 Jan travelled around Yorkshire (Grassington & Derberyshire) and was based in Ashford on the Water and had a cottage there. Spent some time in London, doing a tour into Buckingham  Palace and saw a performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the globe theatre. Then a Trafalgar tour of Eastern Europe for 10 days Bohemian Highlights and visited Frankfurt, Berlin, Wawsaw, Krakow, Vienna, Prague & Budapest. Then she went to Ravello, a tiny mountain top village on the Amalfi Coast and finished in Fiumicino close to Rome airport where she visited Ostia Antica an ancient Roman site (far superior to the Forum).
In May Jan travelled to Hong Kong  for 2 days and did a full day tour of Lantau Island and then onto UK for 1 week in Wales (hired a cottage) close to Hay-on-Wye where they have the annual book festival. 2 nights in the Cotswolds and finished with 3 nights in London. A real highlight in London on this trip was a tour of Westminster parliament which takes you right inside the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

Started the year by celebrating an O birthday in Hawai'i, a relaxing 2 week break taking in Xmas and New Year. In April she added to her cruise experiences by cruising with Azamara, on the Spice Route from Singapore to Bombay. The Azamara Journey was a small ship holding just 684 passengers plus crew.
August saw a trip to Vietnam  (2nd visit) it just really reiterated what an incredible country this is, from spa treatments to the fabulous tailors, sightseeing and more shopping.

Started the year with a short tour of Sri Lanka, including coastal areas and tea plantations.  In December last year she took her boys on a Royal Caribbean Cruise of the South Pacific from Brisbane.  In March this year she did a Silversea’s cruise of the Western Caribbean from Bridgetown to Fort Lauderdale. Most recently she has just returned from a four night getaway to Hawai'i.

“Always take a day pack on the plane with you including togs just in case your hotel room isn’t ready when you arrive.”
