I went on a family Trip to Thailand - Elephant Hills was such a highlight and spending time out in the Khao Sok National park a fabulous contrast to the rest of the trip in Westernised Singapore and also just hanging out at the beach in Phuket. Travelling with teenagers is (almost) as hard as travelling with toddlers at times but there is something for everyone in this part of South East Asia. Great food, beach experiences, jungle experiences and also great accomodation to just vege out if that spins your wheels.
Well what a revelation this was! And only a few hours from our shores, no less. The Yasawa's is an Island Chain that starts approx 90-120 min north of Nadi by the Yasawa Flyer Catamaran. Its a diving and snorkelling hidden gem and there is something for everyone, if its paddling and snorkelling off the beach, you will at least see Nemo or at the very least one of his mates, they are all there (not Bruce the Shark - mind) You can even snorkel with reef sharks or dive/snorkel with Mantarays or even Tiger sharks if are that brave! Beautiful Location and it really is the "Fiji where happiness finds you" Come, don't be shy, ask me about this....
Wow, what an amazing country to visit - so vast and different from New Zealand. So much more accessible now more than ever and there is definatley something for everyone. So much culture and history and also the food is always worth a look.
Chicago - fantastic city to visit what a town! Plenty of things to keep you occupied for sports fans, cultural museums, blues bars and architecture, not to mention this is the home of Deep Pan Pizza and Chicago hot dogs. Chicago is the home of the Sky scraper and actually ISNT the windiest city in the USA. Air New Zealand now fly direct to Chicago, when you come into land you think you are travelling over the ocean but actually you are in the middle of the USA and the "lake" you see is truly massive. So go on give it a go as the tourist board says "Chicago: second to none"
