Day 2: Oslo
Today you join a private tour, to see the sights of Oslo, starting with The Historical Museum and some Viking treasures, then passing by the Parliament building, the National Theatre, and the magnificent Royal Palace, official residence of the Norwegian Monarch. Then travel outside the city through charming suburban areas with beautiful homes set within manicured gardens and take a guided walk through the extraordinary Vigeland Sculpture Park, created by one single artist. (B)
Day 3: Oslo – Flåm
Today the first day of your Norway in a Nutshell® tour begins by rail rising through quaint mountain villages to the town of Myrdal, where you change to the Flåm Railway. An engineering feat and considered one of the most scenic rail journeys, this hour-long rail trip descends over 800m down the Flåm Valley, to the picturesque village of Flåm where you overnight. (B)(D)
Day 4: Flåm – Bergen
Continue your Norway in a Nutshell® journey embarking on a ferry cruise along the stunning steep and narrow Nærøyfjord from Flåm to Gudvangen. Board the coach for a road journey to Voss, passing waterfalls and superb views of the valley. In Voss, board the train for your last leg on the Bergen Line, which takes you to Bergen. (B)
Day 5: Bergen
Join a private walking tour of this beautiful town, including the fish market, the old Hanseatic warehouses, the cathedral and many charming wooden houses. Enjoy a ride by funicular to Mount Fløyen for a last panoramic view of Norway. In the afternoon, transfer to Bergen Pier to board the Hurtigruten ship. (B)(D)
