Itinerary Details
Day 1: Johannesburg
On arrival in Johannesburg at OR Tambo International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. At 7pm meet up at reception for a briefing on the tour.
Day 2: Johannesburg to Hazyview
This morning you leave for Mpumalanga, along the Panorama Route via Graskop, visiting the Blyde River Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa. Take a view from God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes before heading to Hazyview. (B)
Day 3: Kruger National Park
An early morning game drive in Kruger National Park the internationally renowned game reserve of nearly 2 million hectares which supports the largest variety of wildlife species on the African continent.  Afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 4: Swaziland
This morning after breakfast, you check out and depart on your journey to Swaziland. You proceed south to Malalane and then onto Swaziland where this afternoon you will visit a real Chief’s village and have the fantastic opportunity to gain an authentic knowledge of traditional Swazi culture. (B)
Day 5: St Lucia
After breakfast continue south through Swaziland and into Zululand, passing traditional round huts and endless vistas. Overnight in Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region. (B)
Day 6: Zululand to Durban
You have the option to lie in or take an optional morning boat cruise (own cost) or simply enjoy St Lucia town before heading off later in the morning towards Durban. An orientation tour introduces you to this multicultural, vibrant seaside city before arriving at your hotel late afternoon. (B)
Day 7: Drakensburg
This morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast or perhaps take an early morning cab ride to the bustling Umhlanga Beach. Then you head into the majestic Southern Drakensberg Mountains. Visiting the 300 foot high Howick Falls on the way to your hotel arriving mid-afternoon. (BD)
Day 8: Drakensburg
Full day at leisure to take in the magnificent Southern Drakensberg Mountains. Soak up the surroundings, or go fishing, hiking and even horse riding in clean mountain air (own cost). (BD)
Day 9: Eastern Cape Coast
This morning continue south to the Eastern Cape via the birth place of Nelson Mandela (fondly known as Madiba). Arrive late afternoon at your accommodation in Chinsta East, on the beautiful, unspoilt Eastern Cape Coast. (BD)
Day 10: Port Elizabeth
The morning is at leisure and a chance to enjoy the beach which stretches uninterrupted for many kilometres and the thick indigenous beach forest is a haven for an amazing variety of birdlife.  Continue on south to Port Elizabeth. (B)
Day 11: Knysna
Leaving Port Elizabeth set off to explore the magnificent beauty of the Tsitsikamma Forest. Then you head to Knysna, nestling on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route, arriving late afternoon. (BD)
Day 12: Knysna – Mossel Bay
After breakfast, travel inland over the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, known as the ‘feather capital of the world’ because of its ostrich industry. Visit a working ostrich farm and then explore the famous Cango Caves. Overnight in Mossel Bay. (B)
Day 13: Cape Town
Today’s journey ends in Cape Town. On the way you stop off to visit the famous Post Office Tree, the Bartholomeus Diaz Museum and Shell Museum. You drive via Swellendam, Worcester and through the Huguenot Tunnel before arriving in Cape Town in the late afternoon. (B)
Day 14: Cape Town
A day of leisure in the ‘Mother City’. Stroll to the V&A Waterfront and maybe take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain (own cost), it’s easy to spend time exploring this beautiful city. (B)
Day 15: Cape Town
Today is yours to enjoy Cape Town. A transfer is included to the airport, harbour or railway station for your onward journey. (B)
