Resting in the shadow of what was once French Indochina, hidden temples and traditional Buddhist ceremonies reveal themselves, whilst on the Mekong River, day-to-day life plays out before you. On this specially designed tour, journey with us from north to south covering the main cities and attractions including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang, the mysterious Plain of Jars, scenic Vang Vieng, the capital city of Vientiane along with Pakse, the coffee rich region of Bolaven Plateau and the 4000 Islands.

Day 1 Luang Prabang
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 Luang Prabang
Head to Kuang Si Waterfalls where water tumbles over multi-tiered limestone formations into cool and crystal-clear pools. In the afternoon cover key sights of the city including a climb to the top of Mt.Phousi, with spectacular 360 degree views.
Day 3 Luang Prabang
Start your day with a visit to Wat Xieng Thong, the largest and most splendid temple of Luang Prabang. Continue by boat and cruise to Pak Ou Caves.
Day 4 Luang Prabang – Phonsavan
Transfer to Xieng Khuang, known for the famous Plains of Jars.
Day 5 Phonsavan
Explore the Plains of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are scattered across a plateau. Later visit Muang Khoun, previously the capital of Xieng Khuang before its destruction during the war.
Day 6 Phonsavan – Vang Vieng
Transfer to Vang Vieng. The afternoon is spent at leisure for you to maybe try an adventurous activity.
Day 7 Vang Vieng – Vientiane
Visit Tham Jang Cave, once used by the local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders in the early 19th century. Continue to Vientiane with a stop en-route at Nam Ngum Lake for a longtail boat trip.
Day 8 Vientiane
Visit the city’s morning market followed by the city’s key attractions. On the outskirts of the city, visit Buddha Park.
Day 9 Vientiane – Pakse
Transfer to Vientiane Airport for a flight to Pakse. Head out to Bolaven Plateau, visit Tad Fane Waterfalls and an organic coffee farm.
Day 10 Pakse – Don Khong Island
Visit the ancient ruins of Wat Phou before continuing to Don Khong Island, the largest island of the 4,000 Islands region.
Day 11 Don Khong Island – Pakse
Take a boat trip to Don Khone. Discover the old French heritage sites such as colonial buildings and the remnants of a locomotive from the first Lao railway. Continue to Liphi Waterfalls and Khone Phapheng Waterfalls, Southeast Asia’s biggest waterfalls. Drive back to Pakse.
Day 12 Pakse
Transfer to Pakse Airport where tour arrangements end.
