From $1129 per person share twin
Travel: 05 Oct 20-30 Apr 21

This morning you’ll arrive into Queenstown.  Take your time to wander around this alpine village, checking out steamer wharf and the local cafes and restaurants before travelling out of town along the lake to Glenorchy.  This drive has been named as one of the most scenic in the country and famous for its breathtaking views across Lake Wakatipu.  Once in Glenorchy check into your accommodation at Camp Glenorchy for the next 2 nights.  This unique accommodation is a true eco retreat in every sense.

Spend the day at leisure exploring Glenorchy and the surrounds including Mt Aspiring National park, the Routeburn track and Dart river.  Hiking tracks are abundant in this area and getting back to nature is the desired effect of visiting this region

After breakfast head back to Queenstown for a morning tea or lunch stop before venturing further south to Te Anau.  Lake Te Anau holds the title of the South Island’s largest lake and this town is the gateway to Fiordland.   Your accommodation for the next two nights is at one of the regions luxury lodges, Fiordland Lodge.

Today takes you out on the South Island’s largest lake with the crew of Faith in Fiordland on their Exploration Cruise.  This 3 hour trip includes a nature walk in the beautiful almost untouched wilderness of the Fiordland region.

On your return to the lodge you can relax and have a soak in the Hot Tubs.

After a leisurely breakfast check out of your accommodation and head home.

Breathtaking Glenorchy New Zealand has captured the imaginations and hearts of travelers for 150 years. Set snugly between two soaring mountain ranges, a glacier-topped peak and the river-fed headwaters of Lake Wakatipu, Glenorchy is a unique destination with an endless variety of things to do, from the peaceful to the exhilarating to the sublime.

Picture yourself in one of Time Magazine’s 2019 World's 100 Greatest Places: Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat has been created from the ground up to delight and inspire our guests. Whether you’re an active adventurer or looking to relax, here in you’ll find stunning natural beauty, hand-crafted artistry and warm, welcoming Kiwi hospitality.

Set in a World Heritage Area, Fiordland Lodge offers the discerning traveller style, comfort and privacy, and is the perfect base from where to explore Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound, and the surrounding Fiordland National Park.

The Lodge itself sits on a superb rural site with rolling grasslands with commanding views out across Lake Te Anau. Inside, the open architecture of the lodge reflects the vastness of the Fiordland National Park, and echoes of the forest are found in the striking natural timber construction. In the lounge, a latticework of huge log trusses soar to over 36 feet above and surround a large open fire, clad with local river stone.

Cross the South Fiord taking in all its mystical magic and allow us to show you some of the most untouched wilderness in the world. Take a comfortable hike in the most majestic native vegetation, heavy with secrets of millions of years of dramatic land formation. Walk past trees with ancient origins, crystal clear waterways, hidden lakes, and rock faces pulled from the depths of the majestic south.
