09 April 2023, Lisbon to Rome, 12 nights

For those that love history, architecture and great food, this is an ideal cruise. Embarking in Lisbon, Portugal’s enchanting capital city known for its ornate architecture, ideal year round weather, friendly locals and delicious food the cruise then heads to Seville, a truly beautiful city famous for its architecture and flamenco dancing then onto Casablanca. Rick Stein wrote a cookbook entitled Venice to Istanbul where he described this journey as a memorable food odyssey. Starting in one of Italy’s most picturesque cities, Venice is known as the City of Canals. Cruising the Adriatic Sea and the azure blue waters of the Dalmatian coast before reaching the Aegean Sea and all Greece has to offer with stops in Argostoli, Crete and the ancient city of Athens. The final stage of the journey takes in World Heritage Ephesus founded in the 10th Century BC before our final stop in Istanbul, the only capital city that straddles both Europe and Asia. This cruise is ideal for those that like to combine the very best of food, beverage and fun. Embarking in Lisbon, Portugal’s enchanting capital city known for its ornate architecture, ideal year round weather, friendly locals and delicious food the cruise then heads to Porto, Portugal’s second largest city and one of its best known due to its long history of Port production. Extremely scenic, Porto is located on the Douro River estuary and is one of the oldest European centres. From here you cruise the Atlantic coast to Galicia and the port city of Ferrol. Galicia is known for its abundance of fresh seafood then onto the beautiful and eclectic city of Bilbao before cruising the west coast of France to Bordeaux, with its 9,000+ wine producers. Cruising the Bay of Biscay towards Cork, known as the culinary capital of Ireland. This beautiful voyage takes in the splendours of Northern Europe, embarking in Stockholm, known as one of the prettiest cities in Europe. Stockholm is spread across 14 islands. The city is a world leader in innovation and is regarded as a super cool city by its residents and visitors alike. Cruising the Baltic Sea we next head to the historic city of Tallin, capital of Estonia known for its beautiful medieval architecture. Next stop is the former imperial capital of St Petersburg where we overnight. St Petersburg is a mecca of cultural, historical, and architectural landmarks and bears the unofficial status of Russia's cultural capital. Cruising the Gulf of Finland, our next stop is Helsinki. Helsinki delights travelers with its sea-facing landscape, diverse architecture, world-famous design, and Nordic cuisine. Finland's capital is compact enough to explore on foot. Cruising the Baltic Sea, the next port of call is Berlin, Germany’s capital then onto Helsingborg, Sweden’s closest point to Denmark then to Oslo, Capital of Norway and home to the famous Viking Ship Museum. This cruise highlights many of the scenic smaller ports of Northern Europe taking in dramatic scenery. Embarking in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, reputed to be happiest city in the world, Copenhagen is known for its canals, excellent food and Tivoli Gardens. Cruising the Oresund to Gothenburg known for its Dutch-style canals and leafy boulevards onto Oslo, Capital of Norway and home to the famous Viking Ship Museum. Cruising the Skagerrak taking in the ports of Kristiansand, Stavanger, Nordfjiordeld and Trondheim, founded over 1,000 years ago and the former capital of Norway. From Trondheim the cruise takes you to North Cape where the Norwegian Sea (part of the Atlantic Ocean) meets the Barents Sea (part of the Arctic Ocean) and onto Hammerfest, home of the Royal and Ancient Polar Bear Society. Cruising north of the Arctic Circle, the Lofoten Islands are a remote Norwegian archipelago spanning an area less than 500 square miles. Of the six prominent islands that occupy Lofoten, a new port of call for Regent, Leknes lies in Vestvagoya, a region famed for its magnificent scenery. Cruising to Nordfjordeld and then to the rugged Shetland Islands and its main town, Lerwick onto Kirkwall, Edinburgh, the beautiful port city of Hamburg in Germany and our final port of call Amsterdam.
