Day 1:
Arrive in Beijing.
Day 2-3: Beijing 
Over the next two days visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Beijing’s Hutongs. Culinary delights include an imperial style lunch and walking food tour. 
Day 4: Beijing
Head to the Great Wall for a hike along this Chinese icon. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Peking Duck dinner.
Day 5: Beijing – Chengdu
Explore the local market and learn about the produce used in Sichuan cuisine.
Day 6: Chengdu
Visit the Museum of Sichuan Cuisine and explore the unique exhibits. After which, participate in a cooking class. Continue on to Qingchengshan, a Taoist mountain in an area of natural beauty. 
Day 7: Chengdu – Hangzhou
Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Centre before a flight to Hangzhou. The panda is an iconic symbol of China and is strictly protected by the Chinese government. In Hangzhou, enjoy a boat trip on the tranquil West Lake. 
Day 8: Hangzhou
Highlights for today include Linyin Temple and Huqingyutang Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine where you will investigate the popular Chinese notion ‘you are what you eat’. 
Day 9: Hangzhou
Tea culture is an important part of Hangzhou. Visit a Longjing green tea village and gain an insight into the art of tea. For lunch, enjoy a home-cooked meal at a local farmer’s house.
Day 10: Hangzhou – Shanghai
Take a high-speed train to Shanghai. Visit Yuyuan Gardens. Taste some local snacks in the area such as Xiaolongbao (steamed dumplings). 
Day 11: Shanghai
Spend the day at leisure in Shanghai to self-explore or hit the shops. Tonight, enjoy a Chinese farewell dinner.
Day 12: Depart Shanghai.
