Desert Garden Hotel
Ayers Rock Resort is an oasis in the outback, you will stay at the 4.5 star Desert Gardens Hotel within the resort town.  The Town Square is within easy walking distance or accessible via a free shuttle bus.  Choose from 15 different dining experiences, art galleries, visit the Red Ochre spa and check out Oz Collections an Australiana themed store.

Rise early this morning to travel to Talinguru Nyakunytjaku in Uluru & Kata Tjuta National Park.  Enjoy a cuppa as you watch the first rays of the sun bring the Red Centre alight.  Then travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta.  On the way, enjoy panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta, before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge.  Spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta.

Sunset Tour – ULURU SUNSET
Enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine on a dedicated viewing platform as the sun sinks over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous. It is recommended that you photograph Uluru every 5 minutes to really capture the gradual colour changes of the rock.

Field of Light
As darkness falls and Uluru is thrown into silhouette Field of Light illuminates.  As far as the eye can see 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres will gently bloom with rhythms of coloured light.  Marvel at this critically acclaimed art installation as it’s pathway draws you in.

Coach Transfer to Kings Canyon Resort
Travel through spectacular desert scenery from Ayers Rock Resort, stopping at Angus Downs by luxury coach. Pass through Curtin Springs and view Atila (Mt. Conner). After turning off the Lasseter Highway and onto Luritja Road your Driver Guide will provide informative commentary about the history of the surrounding cattle stations on the way to your accommodation at Kings Canyon. Arrive at Kings Canyon Resort before dusk. You may have time to view the stunning sunset behind Carmichaels Crag to finish off the day.

Kings Canyon Resort
Nestled in the tranquillity of a rugged bush setting, Kings Canyon resort provides relaxed comfort after a day of adventure and exploration.  You will be spoilt for choice building up your energy stores; enjoy a true Aussie BBQ at the Outback BBQ & Grill, or enjoy Northern Territory inspired dining at Carmichael’s restaurant, something more casual at Desert Oaks Bistro or for a truly special experience pre-book Under a Desert Moon where your table for two will be set up under a canopy of stars (available Apr-Oct only).

Ask us about upgrading to a deluxe room with deep spas, private balconies, mini-bar and scenic outlooks onto rock escarpments.

Kings Canyon Scenic Climb
Kings Canyon is a natural wonder located approximately half way between Alice Springs and Uluru - literally at the heart of Australia's Red Centre. The canyon has been forged over 400 million years and is made from layers of sandstone between hard shale. Soaring 270 metres above sea level, areas of the canyon plummet to the Garden of Eden where lush, plants thrive along the line of the permanent rock pools. Your guide will escort you on the rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon.  The views of Watarrka National Park from the top of the canyon are magnificent as are the views down into the canyon itself. Follow the rim of the canyon stopping to view the canyon gorge at look-out points. Time permitting, you may choose to descend to the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden'. The walk may take up to 3 hours and is rocky and steep in parts. It is for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor with our Driver/Guide.
