Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Yangon
You’ll begin your culinary holiday in Myanmar early this evening with a trishaw tour of local teashops and regional specialties.  Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon  
After breakfast, take a train ride on the Circle Line . Transfer back by taxi to Yangon and have Lunch at LinkAge Restaurant & Art. Visit key sites before the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda at dusk. End the day sampling dishes from the different regions at dinner. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 3: Fly to Bagan
Transfer to Yangon Airport for the flight to Bagan (Nyaung Oo). Bagan’s collection of thousands of ancient stupas and temples make it one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Asia.  Explore Bagan’s most important pagodas, lunch at a local village and view the pagodas at sunset by horse and cart.  Overnight in Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan 

Enjoy a cooking class run by the charismatic Ms May.  Visit cottage industries and a palm garden to learn about toddy palm. Spend the evening on a private boat on the famous Irrawaddy River.  Overnight in Bagan.  Optional Activity at additional cost:  Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Flight.  Operated: Daily between October & March, 5.30-8.00 or 8.30am

Day 5: Fly to Mandalay
After breakfast, transfer to Nyaung Oo Airport for the flight to Mandalay. Myanmar’s cultural capital.  A sightseeing tour starts with a visit to the Mahamuni Pagoda. Take a tour of traditional workshops.
For lunch, stop at a popular tea house in Mandalay. The days sightseeing ends atop of Mandalay Hill.  Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 6: Mandalay surrounds 
From Mandalay, today visit the former royal capital of Ava. A local ferry takes you to the island where your horse cart and driver await you - no cars are allowed here. In the afternoon, visit picturesque Sagaing and Amarapura.  Take a sunset stroll on U Bein Bridge, which at over a kilometre is believed to be the longest teak bridge in the world.  Dinner at a local restaurant.  Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 7: Fly to Heho (Inle Lake)

In the morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho.  Start with a visit to the morning market. Lunch is served at View Point, which specializes in creative Shan tapas. Continue to Red Mountain Estate  Vineyards and Winery before  heading  to the jetty to board a private motorboat for a cruise on Inle Lake.  Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 8: Inle Lake

The Shan cuisine is famous for its refined taste and the possibility to make amazing dishes with just a few local ingredients. After breakfast, you’ll by picked up for your cooking class. Learn how to prepare 8-10 special Shan dishes.  Rounds off the day. Return to your hotel by boat as the sun lowers.
Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 9: Inle Lake 
After breakfast, travel by long-tailed boat across the lake to Indaing, at the western end of Inle, for one of the most scenic trips on the Lake. For lunch, you will be welcomed by the house owners of a hidden Intha Village House and experience traditional dining.  Overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 10: Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon
Transfer to Heho airport for your flight back to Yangon.  Have lunch at Sharky’s restaurant – a local entrepreneur who is growing organic vegetables and producing locally made cheese.  Relax with a 1 hour foot massage by blind or deaf people, trained by a local charity. Our specially selected shopping guide will then take you to whatever shop you like to find your final souvenirs to bring home.  Overnight in Yangon.
 
Day 11: Yangon Departure
Free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
