Bringing together 1,280km of panoramic railways, this is an epic journey that whisks you through towns and villages, over mountains and past glaciers, lakes and rivers. The Swiss Travel pass lets you discover the whole of Switzerland on one ticket with access to trains, buses, boats, mountain railways and city transport. Leaving you hop on and off to explore whenever you like – there are many attractions and excursions along the tour routes.

Day 1: Travel from any Swiss airport or bordertown to Zurich. Overnight in Zurich

Day 2: Take a short train trip to Lucerne to enjoy town squares, churches and steamships on Lake Lucerne. Take the Golden Pass Line over the Brunig Pass to Interlaken.

Day 3: Jungfraujoch  - Top of Europe round trip to experience an ice wonderland. Back from Interlaken, continue on through the scenic Simme Valley to Montreux on Lake Geneva.

Day 4: From Lake Geneva, travel to Martigny -- the gateway to Great St Bernard and Forclaz Pass. Continue on via Visp to Zermatt.

Day 5: This legendary stretch includes a ride on the Glacier Express on a 7 1/2 hour rail journey travelling from St.Moritz to Zermatt.

Day 6: Two routes lead to Lugano in Switzerland's sunny south. In summer, choose the Bernina Express train to Tirano, then bus to Lugano.

Day 7: Few things will take your breath away like the newly opened 57km tunnel Gotthard Panorama Express. Combining rail and waterway travel, this 5 hour trip starts with scenic rail before connecting to a spectacular 2.5 hour Lake Lucerne steamer boat ride.

Day 8: Transfer from Lucerne to any Swiss airport or bordertown

NOTE: The basic package does not include seat reservations. Seat reservations are compulsory on the Gotthard Panorama Express, Bernina Express and Glacier Express. Seat reservations are additional to the price of the package and can be booked approximately 90 days in advance from the travel date. The Gotthard Panorama Express operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 14 April to 30 June as well as on public holidays. From 1 July to 22 October it operates daily. Alternate transport can be taken when the Gotthard Panorama Express isn't operating.

Travel is valid to 22 Oct 17 and valid until sold out. Conditions apply. Prices are in NZ dollars for cash or cheque purchase only. All prices and packages are subject to availability at time of booking. All travel must be commenced and completed as specified. Some surcharges and closeout periods may apply – please ask your House of Travel consultant for full details. Valid for new bookings only. Please note that this package is a non-accompanied tour and no representative guide will be waiting for the travellers at the train station. Hotel accommodation is subject to availability. Prices based on twin share occupancy. No triple room rates/discount. Additional hotel nights are subject to availability with the applicable supplement payable. It is the traveller’s responsibility to enter the date of travel in the boxes provided on the Swiss Card before boarding the train. Travellers must make their own arrangements to/from the railway station to/from the hotel. A $100.00 non-refundable will be charged on any change (such as travel dates, hotels, additional nights, upgrades, downgrade) made on existing booking. A non-refundable 15% deposit is required before hotel accommodation will be confirmed, with full balance payable 30 days prior to departure. Seat reservations are compulsory on some sectors and subject to availability. Reservation fees are not included in the package price.
