Fiji North
The pace of life in Fiji is seldom hectic, but in the northern islands of Vanua Levu and Taveuni, you’ll find that life becomes even more relaxed. These islands are just an hour’s flight from Nadi or Suva, but as you explore the shops and historic waterfront of Savusavu, you’ll feel as though you’ve taken a trip back in time.
Fiji’s Northern area has so much on offer from dolphin watching, the most incredible diving and don’t miss a visit to Wasali Nature Reserve - an untouched rainforest with hiking trails leading to spectacular views in Savusavu – a highlight for sure!
The region is also the home of Fiji’s eco-tourism movement, which means you’ll find small resorts that endeavour to combine tranquillity and luxury with ecological values. From the way the resorts are constructed to the educational nature of their kids clubs, the whole family will come away with a new appreciation for this amazing environment, and the marine sanctuaries that have been established ensure that the snorkelling and diving is just as fabulous as the fishing.
