Vancouver

Vancouver

Ski or snowboard in the morning, play golf or go kayaking in the afternoon, Vancouver’s location between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains makes all this possible and also ensures that the city regularly features among the most liveable cities in the world. With Mother Nature on your front doorstep it’s no wonder Vancouver abounds with outdoor activities from sailing to hiking the Grouse Grind Mountain Trail just 20 minutes from the city. But, as British Columbia’s largest city, Vancouver is also a sophisticated centre of arts, shopping and entertainment. Explore farmers markets, exotic Chinatown with its apothecary shops, or spot the stars and smell the coffee on trendy Robson Street.

An easy and fun way to head across to Granville Island and the inner part of False Creek and Yaletown.

Capilano-Suspension-Bridge CAPILANO SUSPENSION BRIDGE

Cross the 70-metrehigh bridge and explore the Treetops Adventure nearby. For an extra thrill take a walk along the structurally amazing Cliffwalk, high above the Capilano River

Stanley-Park STANLEY PARK

So close to the city and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. The flat, paved path around the park is 10 kilometres in length and circles the entire park, perfect to walk, cycle, or run.
Gastown GASTOWN

Once the terminal for the Canadian Pacific Railway, this and the adjoining warehouse district have been transformed into a chic neighbourhood. Filled with sidewalk cafés, cool restaurants, unique shopping, and leafy parks.

Yaletown YALETOWN

★★★

Generous sized rooms in a fantastic location! Step outside and you are amongst the boutiques and sidewalk cafés of fashionable Robson Street. It’s less than a 10 minute walk down to the harbour and from here you can stroll along the waterfront to Stanley Park. The Hop on Hop off Attractions Trolley is a wonderful way to see the city, and it stops right in front of the hotel, as does the Capilano free shuttle bus, so it’s super convenient.
Sheraton Wall Centre
SHERATON WALL CENTRE HOTEL
★★★★
Just three blocks from the very heart of downtown, you are super central at this big, modern hotel. The floor to ceiling windows mean nice light rooms with some excellent views over the city. On a nice day, it’s just a 10 minute walk to Beach Ave. From here stroll along the waters’ edge to English Bay Beach, a great spot to relax with a drink. If you head through the city centre from the hotel, you can get to the harbour in less than 20 minutes, passing through the main shopping precinct.
Fairmont
FAIRMONT PACIFIC RIM
★★★★★

This is a very sophisticated, chic hotel with a wonderful location by the harbour, with superb views of the mountains, city and water. They have one of the hottest restaurants in town ‘The Botanist’ as well as a trendy lobby bar, fabulous spa and an amazing art collection – you can explore their unique art and architecture on a self-guided tour.
