The Islands of Thailand

The Islands

Combine the white of the sandy beaches with the green fronds of tropical palm trees, add in the golden sparkle of the sun dappling on the blue ocean, and it’s highly likely you’ve made your way to one of Thailand’s gems. Islands are dotted all around the shimmering waters of Thailand, some uninhabited, but for those you can visit, you’ll be spoilt with scenery, cuisine and service. These islands may require a little bit more time and effort to reach, but they are truly unique. Their locations may not have been heard of before, but once you’ve been, you will remember them forever.

Here's a taste of some of our favourite hotels and resorts in The Islands of Thailand.

Santhiya Koh Chang
Be captivated by the stunning scenery at this newly built resort along the shores of Klong Prao Beach on the island of Koh Chang. The resort is well positioned along the sunset coast of the island to give a great farewell to the sun each day. The spacious rooms feature a four-poster bed and gorgeous bathrooms. They are just a hop, skip and a jump away from the resorts swimming pool by the beach and a sun lounger with your name on it.
Treehouse Villas

Koh Yao Noi is home to a truly exceptional resort. The Treehouse Villas are about an hour’s boat ride from Phuket or Krabi, and blend into the surrounding countryside as one would expect of a treehouse! Designed with comfort and views in mind, and with your own plunge pool and day beds, there may be no reason to leave your villa, but you will want to visit the Al Fresco Restaurant for a meal right on the beach with your toes in the sand.
Soneva Kiri

An outstanding resort on an idyllic island, Soneva Kiri is on the point of Koh Kood, Thailand’s fourth largest, yet least populated, island. Comprised of 36 private pool villas with a beach or rainforest setting, but all are furnished to an impeccable standard and all are complete with your own butler and an electric buggy. There is no shortage of amazing dining locations and food will be as spectacular as the setting you choose.
Cape Kudu Hotel

Cape Kudu is a 20 minute speedboat ride from Krabi, or a 45 minute journey from Phuket. The infinity pool overlooks the islands that surround Koh Yao Noi island. Surrounded by comfortable bean bags and recliners, enjoy comparing the blue shades of pool and ocean. Rooms are modern with light décor and furnished with comfort in mind. Relax on your balcony or head to the reading room, which also houses a pool table.
