Itinerary

Early morning pick up from your accommodation in the center of Bangkok. Depart to Kanchanaburi, our first visit of the day is the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre an interactive museum and research centre, here you will find information dedicated to preserving the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. Then on to visit Allied War Cemetery and pay respect to the memorial to some 6,000 allied prisoner of war who perished during the construction of the Death Railway and were moved post-war to this eternal resting place. Visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs in World War II and had seen its share of conflict and bloodshed. Enjoy your lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, continue on road to Hellfire Pass Memorial, it is a part of the Death Railway that was built cruelly by prisoners of war during the World War II. The pass is no longer in use and it becomes the museum to exhibit related tools and photographs about the historical event to remind people the importance of world peace. Then take a long-tailed boat to River Kwai Jungle Rafts.  Enjoy dinner followed by a 45–minute presentation of traditional Mon Dance and overnight at River Kwai Jungle Rafts. (Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit nearby Mon Tribal Village, an ethnic group originally from Mongolia, living mostly in the middle of Myanmar, and along the southern border with Thailand. In the village, the Mon still live a traditional, simple life. They make almost no use of electricity. The village has been adapted a bit to tourism, with the people selling traditional skirts and foods to their visitors. When walking through the village, one can visit the Golden Rock, the temple and see the traditional houses on poles, to keep them safe from the water during raining season. Return to the rafts for lunch and enjoy your afternoon at leisure till your dinner time. Dinner and overnight at the River Kwai Jungle Rafts. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel and be at leisure till the check-out time. Check out and have lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy an experiential train ride along the famous Death Railway that excitedly runs through the rock-cutting passage over the wooden viaduct constructed by Allied POWs. Then journey back to Bangkok and transfer to your accommodation in Bangkok center.

River Kwai Jungle Rafts is an ideal destination for everyone who seeks not only a magical place to get away to but also a legend to be experienced. You will enjoy the stunning nature surroundings of tropical forest and a unique blend of the culture and tradition of Mon people, and the history of World War II history that took place in the nearby area. Due to the ecology conservation concept, the entire floatel does not use electricity but rather utilizes traditional kerosene lamps at night maintaining a true eco hide away in nature.
