That would be its very own private beach. Offering premium luxury at a price which is considered one of the best value in Nadi, the extensive amenities and welcoming Fijian hospitality make this one of the best properties in the Pacific Islands for families. 1. It’s four star comfort the entire family can enjoy When it comes to Fiji holidays, Fiji's 4-Star resort is a little bit of pure luxury with the South Pacific Ocean right on your doorstep; so close is the sea, your neighbours are starfish. 2. Transfer times are minimal A three-minute boat ride from Viti-Levu and just 25 minutes from Nadi International Airport, convenience and comfort go hand-in-hand. Heaven when you’ve just survived a four hour flight with chronic fidgeters (that’s dad) and pint sized (but rocket-fuelled) children. 3. Luxuries are designed with both adults and children in mind The luxury all starts with the hotel’s signature warm chocolate chip cookie which is presented on arrival. Watch as your children’s eyes widen as broadly as their smiles. Parents who are feeling a little fatigued can collapse onto the Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree bed. Renowned for its movement-reducing foundation and quilted top, this is as close as you’ll get to sleeping inside a cloud. 4. Children are well looked after There’s a babysitting service, child care centre, playground and a complimentary Kids’ Club which is open daily from 10am – 9pm. Available for all kids aged between three and 12 years. 5. It’s well facilitated for older kids too Those who don’t need kids’ club supervision will enjoy the superb array of activities, from a 24-hour fitness centre, to paintballing, horseback riding and yacht cruising. There’s also a tennis court, spa and free-form swimming pool that resembles a lagoon and tickles the seafront. 6. Guest rooms are perfect for families Close to the main complex and very convenient for families, guest rooms boast beautiful South Pacific views from the private balcony and spacious bathrooms equipped with a double vanity, separate shower and bathtub. Satellite channels, flat-screen TVs and air conditioning will ensure any indoor relaxation will be just that – relaxing. 7. Dining is diverse With three restaurants and three bars, you’re never too far from a tasty treat or tipple. The resort features its very own vegetable farm, herb gardens, tropical orchards and hydroponic farm so the produce is guaranteed fresh. From casual dining to posh nosh, choose from barbecued cuisine, buffets, cocktails and a la carte. 8. Dull days don’t exist with so many activities The beach is all but a stone’s throw away (literally, find a pebble and pick it up). And from there you can enjoy any number of premium amenities. Soak up the underwater aquatic life with a morning of snorkelling, or set sail around the bay. Ask about the windsurfing and water skiing, or if you're after something a little more sedate, retire to the loungers beside the outdoor pool, or pull out your rod and go fishing. 9. There’s more to do outside of the resort DoubleTree Resort is within 20km of cultural icons such as Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple and if you fancy a change of sand scenery, 20km from Wailoaloa Beach. Port Denarau, with its various restaurants and pleasant marina, is also a similar distance away. For golfers, the Sheraton Denarau Golf and Racquet Club is also located in Denarau. 10. It's a year-round goodie Fiji is ideal year-round, but weather in October to early November will be warm, dry and consistent. There will be fewer crowds because rain is more likely than the months between May and September. If you can handle the odd shower, October and November are perfect.
