So far we’ve seen spectacular Hawaiian mountain scenery from a helicopter, experienced Hawaiian culture at a luau, gone quad biking through a Jurassic Park movie set, and enjoyed a harbour cruise with fireworks. Want to know the best news? These activities aren’t restricted to [cough] celebrities [cough] and TV crews! You too can recreate these Hawai'i moments with your own loved one… BE DAZZLED BY FIREWORKS Erin was wowed by an amazing fireworks display as she and Jordan drifted just offshore on a yacht. The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki sends up fireworks every Friday night so you can experience this too! Watch from the beach below, or even better, have a romantic dinner at one of the restaurants in the adjacent highrises for unbeatable views of the show. SEE THE SPECTACULAR COASTLINE OF KAUA’I BY HELICOPTER Ceri and Jordan’s single date didn’t get off to a great start thanks to the non-cooperative weather, but it certainly cleared up in time for the major highlight, a helicopter ride over Kaua’i. This unique island has some of the most dramatic scenery on earth with mountains and canyons scarred bright red by volcanic activity, and contrasting lush green jungles that give the island its moniker, ‘the Garden Isle’. GO QUAD BIKING THROUGH FAMOUS FILM LOCATIONS Naz took part on a group date for active romantics, a quad bike adventure through the valleys around Kualoa Ranch… also known as Jurassic Park! This private nature reserve even has some of the props and giant footprints still etched into the landscape. FEEL THE ADRENALINE OF ZIPLINING Also at Kualoa Ranch, the girls went ziplining. Gab stuck out during this activity due to her fear of heights, but with the chivalrous support of Jordan, managed to face her fears and conquered the ziplining adventure. The entire facility actually has seven tandem sections and two suspension bridges to explore. FEEL THE RUMBLE OF HAWAII’S VOLCANOES The biggest of the islands in Hawai’i also shares its common name, the island of Hawai’i. To avoid confusion though, most people call it ‘the Big Island’. Peer down into the craters as Fleur and Jordan did on their single date, or if you prefer looking from a safer distance, take a scenic helicopter flight! SWIM WITH SEATURTLES Erin's single date with Jordan that took her up close and personal with the adorable sea turtles. Found throughout the islands, but most commonly on the north shore of O’ahu, it’s possible to snorkel with these majestic creatures, or just sit and watch them lumber their way up the beaches. EXPERIENCE A GREAT HAWAIIAN LUAU It wasn’t exactly elegant, but Jordan and Kate gave it their best at a traditional Hawaiian luau. A luau is a pretty much a Hawaiian party, usually starting off with a feast, and then an evening of dancing and singing. SAIL AN OUTRIGGER CANOE RIGHT OFF WAIKIKI BEACH Take a stroll down the golden sands of Waikiki Beach and you will find dozens of Outrigger canoes lining the shore. These are the very craft that Storm and Sarah raced on their group date with Jordan. Will you race the locals? Or take a romantic cruise for two? GO FORAGING FOR LUNCH On the last Hawaiian group date, Rebecca went foraging for food at O’o Farm on the island of Maui. You’ll no doubt enjoy the cooler climate of the highlands as you raid fruit trees and sniff out elusive truffles. Then sit down with a wine and have the chef cook up an amazing lunch. So there it is.
