The Hub
PAPEETE AIRPORT. This is a small airport with one terminal and only receives a few international flights each day. Because of its size, it’s pretty easy to navigate, however there’s always a bit of a queue when trying to get through customs/security. Unfortunately only parts of the terminal are airconditioned, which can make the waiting that bit more uncomfortable. There’s a very small number of shops and food outlets available. All domestic flights leave from the same terminal so connecting is easy. The airport is not open 24 hours.
